Spacious historic building on historic walls in Dornstetten in the northern Black Forest - reopening in 2020. 9 bedrooms with 7 bathrooms. Several separate living, cooking, dining areas and bathrooms. A large common lounge “the bakery” with a great Häussler oven for indoor grilling, pizza and pulled pork. Also wonderfully suitable for larger groups and conferences.
We found exactly what we were looking for: peace, relaxation, cleanliness, great dog walks practically on the doorstep, beautiful and well-functioning sauna, hut ambience together with the "luxury" we were hoping for (nice kitchen and modern bathroom, all lights and heating work).
The only misunderstanding on my part was with the tiled stove, as I had initially overlooked the growing space with the wood and kindling.
We had a very nice time as a group.
We stayed at the forester's house over New Year's Eve with 8 adults and 8 children and had a great time. We have already recommended the house. The landlords were very nice. The house has everything you need.
We stayed at the Waldhaus as a group of friends with small children and a dog and we had a great weekend together. The large dining table invites you to get together and eat and you can relax wonderfully in the sauna hut. The forest house is beautifully situated on a hillside and you are surrounded by nature, ideal for spending time outdoors with your dog and children. The rooms are comfortably furnished and very clean. Overall a great place and a lovely holiday home. We'd love to come back!

We were 6 adults and four children aged 2-7.
A very friendly and competent manager who took care of everything very quickly. The facilities are great, everything you need is there. For the children, toys for indoors and outdoors. Perfect with dogs, everything is fenced in so that even smaller dogs can run around outside without hesitation. We all felt completely comfortable. We can definitely recommend it. Thank you very much 🙂 Our Christmas in the Black Forest was really nice.
