Camping is a form of tourism. Staying close to nature in tents, caravans, or motorhomes is very popular in the Black Forest, especially for families with children . Many holidaymakers use this type of vacation to leave the stress of everyday life behind and connect with nature. The Northern Black Forest Nature Park offers a wealth of opportunities in a stunningly beautiful setting.
In the Black Forest, so-called campsites have been established, run by private operators and towns and municipalities. These sites offer numerous facilities for laundry, shopping, and internet access. You can also find camping equipment, including used items, to meet your needs. These accommodations also provide an alternative for group stays in the Black Forest .

Built in the log cabin style, this Black Forest cabin offers the ideal starting point for your Black Forest holiday, catering to special desires for a nature-oriented vacation – a return to the roots, so to speak. Whether for your nature-loving family, a nature-focused getaway, or an unforgettable team event in a unique location.
One form of camping is permanent camping . In Alpirsbach in the Black Forest, you can enjoy a holiday as a permanent camper, in addition to staying in a holiday home. The selection of campsites in the Northern Black Forest is diverse. Come to Alpirsbach with your caravan or tent.
A particularly popular form of long-term camping abroad is seasonal camping. Here, a pitch is rented for an extended period – for example, three months. Part of the family lives at the campsite during this time, while working relatives join them in the evenings or only on weekends, depending on the distance to their homes.
Some campsites are not open year-round, for example due to the risk of flooding along major rivers, so only seasonal camping is possible there. In these cases, the season usually lasts 8 or 9 months a year.
In many cases, local regulations restrict the design of the rented pitch with permanent structures, fences and the like, so that at first glance these pitches or parts of pitches hardly differ from campsites for tourist camping.
