Where can I go skiing in the Black Forest ? Where should I go for my ski holiday? Where are the best ski resorts in the northern and southern Black Forest? Where are the best slopes? How much does a ski pass cost? Perhaps you're asking yourself these questions right now as you plan your holiday?
In our holiday home Feldberg in the district of Neuglashütten, you are right in the heart of one of Germany's most beautiful ski resorts. At 1493 meters high, it is the highest mountain in all of Germany's low mountain ranges – and therefore perfectly suited for exploring on skis.
The Feldberg isn't just home to one or two ski slopes – it's an entire winter sports center, a small paradise blanketed in pristine white snow. Sixteen runs of varying difficulty – from standard and family slopes to challenging FIS World Cup courses – crisscross the mountain, served by nine chairlifts and five chairlifts in the " Feldberg Lift Network ." The slopes range in altitude from 950 to 1,400 meters and cover a total of 25 kilometers. The longest run is the Rathaus descent, at approximately three kilometers.
Prefer to hop on a snowboard? Then you should definitely visit the "badenova Snowpark". This action-packed park is just the place for you. You can find more information and opening hours at Snowpark Feldberg . Of course, they also offer courses and activities such as snowshoeing, a ride in a snowcat, winter barbecues, tobogganing, winter hiking, and cross-country skiing.
For those who prefer something a little more unusual, there's the trendy sport of snowkiting, a variation of kitesailing. The principle is actually quite simple: You hold onto a traction kite while skiing or snowboarding, and with enough wind, it pulls you rapidly across the snow. Ski and snowboard schools also allow beginners to explore and enjoy the slopes.
Anyone who wants to get an impression of it before embarking on their journey can already let their eyes wander over the breathtaking landscape Feldberg lift network
By the way: Skiing on the Feldberg has a long tradition. In 1891 – over 125 years ago – a Dr. Pilet was the first person to ski down the Feldberg slope. Just nine years later, the first German Ski Championships were held here. This mountain truly offers something for everyone – and not just thanks to its numerous restaurants and cafes. Beginners and experienced skiers alike, skiers and snowboarders alike will find something to enjoy here.
