Holiday apartment Gartenglück am Kirchberg – where the Black Forest opens up and the vastness begins. Our nature farm is nestled in a completely secluded location on the southern slope of Kirchberg, surrounded by meadows, fruit trees, and animals. It's your retreat with unobstructed views of the valley. Horses and chickens are right outside the door, and premium hiking trails start at the house. There's plenty of space for children to play and run around, and your four-legged friend is also very welcome.
The "Gartenglück" holiday apartment on the lower level is accessible via the staircase and, thanks to the hillside location, is then accessible at ground level. It features a bedroom with a desk and views across the meadows, as well as a sofa bed in the bright living and dining area with a TV and toys for children. Instead of a balcony, the apartment offers a spacious covered terrace (veranda) with direct access to the private, fenced garden. A particularly convenient feature: the sauna is just a few steps away.
When booking your apartment, in addition to your accommodation, you also have access to some areas shared with all guests.
This includes the terrace at the entrance and an enclosed garden area with a barbecue and fire pit , perfect for relaxing and socializing. The terrace also features a large dining table with benches and chairs, ideal for al fresco meals, as well as a bench for comfortably putting on and taking off hiking boots.
Outdoor toys and play equipment are available for children in the outdoor area. According to current plans, these will be fully available from May 2026*.
In the basement (UG) area, guests can share the following facilities:
washing machine, dryer, vacuum cleaner, cleaning supplies, iron and ironing board.
An electric vehicle charging station is located directly opposite the holiday home and can be used by all guests. Use of the station is on a donation basis.
From approximately October 2026, a sauna with a small outdoor area and loungers will also be available in the basement. To ensure all guests can use it undisturbed, a list will be available on site for reserving time slots.
All four holiday apartments are of course private retreats with their own outdoor area (balcony or terrace), while the aforementioned areas are deliberately designed as communal spaces.

Guests can reserve a time slot on a list available on-site to enjoy the sauna undisturbed. The communal areas include a terrace and a fenced garden with barbecue facilities. Children's play equipment is available there and is expected to be fully operational from May or August 2026. A shared laundry room is located in the basement. It is equipped with a washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, and cleaning supplies and is available for all guests.
The Kirchberg apartments are situated in a quiet hillside location, surrounded by meadows and forest, with unobstructed views of the Black Forest. The last 2 km or so lead directly to the house via a small road. Those seeking peace, nature, and plenty of privacy will find a retreat here, far from the hustle and bustle. The owners' farm is located a short distance away and is easily accessible if needed.
Step right out of the house and immerse yourself in nature: The premium hiking trail Wiesensteig is one of the excellent hiking trails in Bad Peterstal-Griesbach and leads through mountain meadows, forests and along the Wild Rench river. The town is also recognized as a premium hiking destination in the Black Forest National Park region.
For day trips, the Black Forest National Park, the Alternative Wolf and Bear Park Black Forest in Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach, and many other destinations in the region are ideal. Europa-Park Rust is also easily reachable by car in about an hour and is perfect for a day trip.
