Historic and idyllic holiday home with wellness lounge including sauna, shower and relaxation area, as well as hot tub with stunning views, 5 bedrooms for 10 people with a fireplace, and a fantastic location with views of the Black Forest

Completely restored in 2019/2020, this farmhouse is exclusively yours. It enjoys an idyllic location on the edge of the forest, bordering the Black Forest National Park in the Achertal valley, surrounded by meadows and completely free from traffic. Old beams were lovingly exposed, historical structures preserved, and modern elements added. The holiday home features five comfortable bedrooms, four TVs with satellite and Netflix, a large open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area with a tiled stove, and a separate TV room. There are also two bathrooms, three toilets, and a spacious wellness area. For younger guests, there is a playground with a climbing frame, sandbox, and swings. A foosball table is available in the covered outdoor area. The chickens, rabbits, cat, and sheep look forward to your visit. A wood-fired hot tub with a whirlpool function is also available. In addition, there is a new campfire area.

The location

Idyllically situated, away from roads and hustle and bustle, this historic farmhouse has stood since 1810. Surrounded by meadows and forests, it lies on the edge of the Black Forest National Park.
From here, you have a beautiful view over the health resort of Ottenhöfen and the surrounding mountain landscape. Ottenhöfen is a 10-minute walk away. There you will find a butcher shop, two bakeries, a village store, and a pharmacy. Several restaurants look forward to your visit. In summer, the natural swimming pool invites you to swim, play, and relax.

Directions: Coming from the A5 motorway: Take exit 53 Achern, then turn left towards the Black Forest High Road and Ottenhöfen. After 15 kilometers, you will reach Ottenhöfen. In Ottenhöfen, follow the main road (Ruhesteinstraße). Drive almost all the way through the village and shortly before leaving the village, turn left onto Zieselberg. From there, the road climbs uphill. Pass the Köningerhof farm and turn left at the fork in the road. The access road is quite narrow, and you may need to pull over at passing places if you encounter oncoming traffic. However, the road is very lightly trafficked. Please park in the parking area above the house. From there, it is another 50 meters to the holiday home. This path is quite steep.

This lovingly restored farmhouse left nothing to be desired for our two families to enjoy a wonderful week in the Black Forest: barbecue area, playground, pool, animals, sauna, very well-equipped kitchen – even coffee and fresh eggs from their own farm were waiting for us upon arrival. Many thanks to the Basler family for this lovely time!

Magnificent woning. We have two girls here with young children (5 - 9 years old) and had a baby age. The living room is handicapped, the bed is very light and the tents are on-line when we buy it. Mooie omgeving with grandson Leuke wandelingen and Watervallen.
