The eco-friendly holiday apartments in Offenburg in the Ortenau region

The eco-friendly holiday apartments in Offenburg, in southern Germany, opened in the summer of 2015. Idyllically situated in the countryside in the Prinzbach Valley, close to nature, the holiday farm lies in this romantic side valley of the Kinzig Valley in the Ortenau . The two apartments are located on a newly built Black Forest farmhouse. Following Black Forest and Ortenau traditions, a traditional Black Forest farmhouse was rebuilt using wood, focusing on modern energy efficiency and living comfort. Subtle wooden elements were incorporated into the modern and brightly furnished apartments. The high-quality interior furnishings, crafted by a local carpenter in the style of a traditional Black Forest parlor, were made using historic wood from the former farmhouse. Enjoy a unique farm holiday in the Black Forest  (the farm is no longer operational) with many excursion destinations nearby, such as the Europa-Park theme park in Rust or Strasbourg. Please note that only a washing machine is available; there is no dryer .

Eco holiday apartment Offenburg = Highest energy efficiency on a Black Forest farm

The farmhouse meets the highest ecological and energy efficiency standards. During construction, the Black Forest farmhouse was built to A+ (lowest energy) standards. Only minimal heating is required, which is generated by an ice storage heating system with solar regeneration. This corresponds to the heating oil equivalent of 1.8 liters per square meter per year. Electricity is generated and stored by the farm's own solar panels. Any peak demand is met by purchasing additional electricity from a green energy provider. This makes your holiday in the eco-friendly holiday apartments on the farm in Offenburg CO2 neutral! Therefore, your farm holiday is not only wonderfully relaxing but also ecologically exemplary. Two fantastic holiday apartments are available, which can also be rented together if you are a larger group of up to 10 people.

The amenities of the holiday apartment Offenburg - Fewo Biberach 1

The holiday apartment Ortenau ( FEWO 1) in the house with a separate entrance offers 65 square meters of living space spread over two floors. The apartment accommodates four adults and additional children. An extra bed and a travel cot are available. The maisonette-style apartment is modeled after the traditional Black Forest barn found on typical farms. The defining characteristics of a barn are its high ceilings and large barn doors. A stylish, modern interpretation of the barn theme can be found in the interior and on the facade of your holiday apartment. The living/kitchen area is characterized by a high ceiling of seven meters (!) with an unobstructed view of the supporting beams. A corner bench with a stylized stove bench is located there. The polished concrete floor completes the modern look of the apartment. The two bedrooms are located on the upper floor. Here, views of the former farm and inn, as well as Geroldseck Castle in the Ortenau region, adorn the walls. Each room has its own flat-screen LCD TV, and the custom-made beds can be separated into two single beds or used as a double bed, offering flexibility for any situation. One room has a luggage rack, the other a wardrobe. Remarkably, the furniture was crafted from the wood of this very building.

The kitchen is very well equipped with a ceramic hob and a DeLonghi Nespresso machine. The red refrigerator adds a splash of color to the kitchen area. Of course, Wi-Fi with internet access is also provided. Games for your entertainment are also available in the holiday apartments during your farm stay.

Right by the entrance is the lovely terrace. Here you can use the barbecue in the evenings and relax. Consider visiting the Kinzig Valley, Europa-Park Rust, or Strasbourg.

The amenities of the Biberach 2 holiday apartment (90 m2):

The holiday apartment "Farmhouse" (FEWO 2) in the house, with a separate entrance, offers 90 m² of living space on two floors. The apartment accommodates four people and small children. This modern maisonette apartment is modeled after a traditional Black Forest farmhouse. A key feature is the spacious seating area with a corner bench by the bright window in the living room. The staircases are arranged in the style of old farmhouses. The polished concrete flooring completes the modern look of the apartment. Upstairs, you'll find two bedrooms. Here, views of the former farm and inn, as well as Geroldseck Castle in the Ortenau region, adorn the walls. The kitchen is very well-equipped with an induction cooktop and high-quality appliances (oven and steam cooker). Wi-Fi internet access is available. Games are also provided for your entertainment during your farm holiday. On the same level as the living area is a private terrace, exclusively for your use.
