Are you a passionate mountain biker looking for an unforgettable experience in the Black Forest? Then Freudenstadt is the place for you! The highlight for all mountain bike fans in Freudenstadt is located right next to the parking lot at the Hofgut Bärenschlössle in the idyllic Christophstal valley: the Mountain Bike Bundesliga track, ! Whether you're a pro or a beginner, every rider will find something to enjoy here. All the technically challenging sections can easily be bypassed without having to take any major detours.
directly at the Hofgut Bärenschlössle manor house, the trail offers everything a mountain biker's heart desires: root-covered paths, technically challenging switchbacks and jumps, and one of the longest pump and jump sections in Germany. The grand finale is the technically demanding and 50° steep "North Shore" section, which requires absolute skill and expertise.
Just a few meters from the Bärenschlössle parking lot, we find the first signpost and an information board detailing the upcoming trail. The first (and only significant) climb takes us 177 meters in altitude until our previously easy path meets a well-maintained forest road.
Following the signs, after a short descent and a jump, we find ourselves directly in the intricate and sometimes tricky first sector, "Voba Drop & Dual-Line ." Different routes offer technically demanding uphill sections as well as some flatter sections. After a few meters, we reach one of the highlights of our trail: the second section, "Pump and Jump it," with its 300-meter-long pump and jump facility, considered one of the longest of its kind.

Whether you prefer tough and challenging sections or simply super flowy terrain, the route design is guaranteed to put a grin on your face. The route then leads you through initially dense undergrowth directly into the third sector, "Queens Garden" —Germany's largest natural rock garden! Jumps and technically demanding sections characterize this approximately 300-meter-long downhill sector. Riders can choose the level of difficulty they prefer.
At the end of the Rock Garden, a fantastic view of the surrounding Christophstal valley awaits us, directly above the Bärenschlössle estate. Here, a final breather is in order before we head to the grand finale of the 4th sector, "The Queen"! Germany's largest North Shore-style trail has been uniquely and adventurously integrated into the 50° steep slope surrounded by Black Forest fir trees. After a few tricky switchbacks, the route plunges relentlessly over roots, rocks, and sometimes slippery terrain into a final, flowing singletrack that leads us to a wide forest road. From there, it's about 500 meters back to our starting point.
Conclusion: A fantastic, well-thought-out route, four technically challenging and interesting sections, and a trained eye for detail in the trail's construction make the Bundesliga track in Freudenstadt unique. An absolute must for every ambitious mountain biker, or anyone who might want to become one someday!
We say: The perfect mix of Black Forest, adventure and sporting challenge!
