A fantastic event location for your bachelor party in the Black Forest. Great bachelor party games and events for you: excavator diploma, tractor diploma, intuitive archery, or zipline. Great facilities including a sauna cabin, fireplace, kitchen, steak grill, and tarte flambée oven. A great room for up to 60 people and overnight accommodation for up to 21 people. Get in touch!.
Having lots of people in the holiday home always means lots of questions. For example, "What are we doing today?" And: "How do we tire the children out?" The six of us Roths experiment every day with how to keep everyone happy in a large family. And we're always on high alert for our holiday guests' ideas.
That's why our brainstorming machine has also produced something for groups of sixteen to twenty or more vacationers. And once again, the legends of our mythical homeland play a role!
Depending on the number of people, different games are naturally more suitable for groups. Because we know this, there are 3 separate pages dedicated to it:
Holiday home games for 4-8 people
Holiday home games for 10-14 people
Holiday home games for 16-20 people
Do you also have some fantastic game ideas for holiday homes? We would be absolutely delighted if you would send us an email.

According to legend, the Mill Hansel is a benevolent spirit of the Black Forest, residing at the silver miller's mill in Rötenbach. The Höllentalbahn railway line (Freiburg–Titisee–Donaueschingen) runs through Rötenbach. There, the Mill Hansel and his little helpers – the Hanselchen – are said to have brought prosperity by grinding grain at night. On stormy nights, the little bell often rang by itself, leading people to believe the silver miller's wealth was connected to this bell. Naturally, they wanted to steal it from the silver mill. But the Mill Hansel guards it closely. Can you outsmart him and snatch the bell from him?
Age of players: 5 – 125
Number of players: 7 – 20
Required: A small bell or a small glittery object.
Instructions: One player is randomly chosen to be the miller. He stands with his legs wide apart in the middle of a meadow/large room and places the silver bell between his legs. The miller moves his arms in all directions like mill sails. The other players stand in a circle. On a signal, everyone tries to steal the bell. But beware! Whoever the miller touches with his arms becomes the sack of flour and is out of the game. Can you find a trick to get the bell anyway?
Many myths have always surrounded the treeless summit of the Belchen mountain, which rises to 1414 meters above sea level. In Celtic, "Belchen" means "The Radiant One." And according to legend, the Celts used this mountain, on whose summit the villages of Münstertal, Schönenberg, and Kleines Wiesental meet, as an astronomical center. Our resident gnome – Dierle – is convinced that a friendly dragon lived there in ancient times. Out of boredom and a lack of fellow dragons, he often tried to hunt his own tail. Can you do it too?
Age of players: 5 – 125
Number of players: 10 – 30
Instructions: All players line up one behind the other and each holds the player in front around their waist. The last player puts a colorful cloth in their pocket to represent the dragon's tail. The dragon's head tries to catch this cloth. But watch out! The tail tries to dodge. And of course, all players must hold on the cloth the whole time. Once the dragon's tail is caught, the player at the back of the line, near the dragon's head, puts the tail in their own pocket.

Are you curious to learn a little about the Black Forest mentality? Then this game is perfect for your group holiday! Here in the Black Forest, not only do many words end in a friendly "-le," but we also like to "schbara" (save). What? All sorts of things! It might even be a leg you don't necessarily need because there are other options available at your holiday accommodation. This fun warm-up game, perfectly suited to the theme of "families in a holiday home," is all about speed, dexterity, and figuring out the best position.
Age of players: 5 – 125
Number of players:10 – 30
Required: Paper, pens
Instructions: 20 slips of paper are written, 5 of which bear a "family name." It's helpful if the names sound quite similar, like "Häberle, Schwägerle, Däberle, Räderle." Each family consists of 5 people of different ages (e.g., the youngest daughter, the middle son, the oldest daughter, the mother, and the father). Each player secretly draws a slip of paper. On a signal, the families must find each other, line up in age order, and support each other so that as few of their legs as possible touch the ground. The fastest family receives 5 points, the second 4, the third 3, and so on. An extra point is awarded for each leg saved. The family with the most points wins.
We hope your love for the Black Forest extends beyond sight to taste. Because the food here is truly delicious. To ensure that even large groups can enjoy this without the hassle of self-catering accommodations, we've created recipes that will bring the flavors of our homeland to your palate. Enjoy!
Enzklösterle is the blueberry village of the Black Forest – with a blueberry festival, a blueberry house, and countless blueberry recipes. Our little Dierle is also a huge blueberry fan and insists he regularly meets up with the "Zwugln" (little ones) in the sweet berries. In our Black Forest dialect, a "Zwugl" is a dwarf, who of course also needs a "Kapp" – a hat. For a successful family vacation, this is an ideal recipe for a simple and delicious Enzklösterle dessert to bake with children on a rainy day.
Ingredients for 16 people
4 rolls of puff pastry,
2 packages of marzipan,
1 jar of blueberry jam,
1 egg,
icing sugar,
package of vanilla
fresh blueberries for decoration
preparation
Each child draws a gnome hat, about 10 cm in diameter, on a piece of paper. This is cut out, placed on the rolled-out puff pastry, and cut around the edge twice with a knife. Adults can help younger children with this step. A small piece of marzipan and a dollop of blueberry jam are then placed on one half of the pastry. The second half of the gnome hat is placed on top, and the edges are pressed firmly together. Each child can then decorate their "gnome hat" with leftover pastry scraps as they like. Note: It helps not to use too much filling! Brush the filled pastries with beaten egg and bake at 200 degrees Celsius (390 degrees Fahrenheit) with convection for about 12-15 minutes.
Dust with powdered sugar, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a few fresh blueberries to make Zwugl and Riesen happy!

Dragon Slayer Pot tastes like spaghetti Bolognese, is perfect for using up leftover pasta, appeals to dragons of all ages, and can be prepared well in advance. It's an ideal recipe for a large group to fill up and have a great time in a holiday home. And it also makes a great base for a bachelor party, especially when accompanied by a cold drink or two.
Ingredients for 18 people
1500g minced meat,
5 tbsp oil,
4 onions,
6 cans peeled tomatoes,
4 cloves
garlic, 3 diced bell peppers
, 5 diced carrots,
2 packages macaroni,
40 sliced mushrooms,
2.5l water,
1 cup heavy cream,
2 cups sour cream
salt and pepper,
4 vegetable stock cubes
, some basil
preparation
Salt the ground beef and brown it in oil until crumbly. Once it has a nice color, add the chopped onions and garlic and sauté until the onions are translucent. Add the vegetables, mushrooms, tomatoes, vegetable broth, and 3 liters of water. Simmer for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, bring water to a boil, salt it, and cook the pasta shells until al dente. Stir in the crème fraîche and cream, season with salt and pepper, and gently fold in the cooked pasta. Sprinkle with fresh basil before serving, or simply place a pot of the soup on the table.
Vegetarian dragons can be made happy as an alternative by frying brown mushrooms with some tomato paste instead of minced meat and adding a can of corn.
Alpirsbach in the Northern Black Forest is famous for its excellent beer. So, of course, a beer recipe is a must! Ideally, one featuring wild boar from the local forest. Naturally, it wouldn't hurt to sample a beer while cooking! This recipe is perfect if you're booking our two Alpirsbach holiday homes, Dieboldsberg and Frohnwald, with a large group. But it also fills many hungry stomachs in our largest house on the Feldberg! It's a great way to warm up during a ski holiday and a delicious suggestion after a long hike.
Ingredients for 20 people
2500g wild boar goulash (alternatively pork goulash)
3 bottles Alpirsbacher beer
5 onions
carrots
4 cloves of
garlic 2.5 liters vegetable broth
8 tbsp clarified butter
4 teaspoons sweet mustard
5 tablespoons tomato paste
6 tablespoons cranberries
Pepper and salt to taste
4 teaspoons sweet paprika powder
1.5 tubs sour cream
preparation
Dice the onion. Slice the garlic thinly. Finely grate the carrots. Heat the clarified butter and brown the goulash with a little salt until it has a nice brown color and the liquid has evaporated. Then add the onions, garlic, tomato paste, sweet mustard, and carrots and continue to sauté briefly. Be careful: the tomato paste burns easily, so keep a close eye on the pot during this stage. Add the paprika and then immediately pour in the beer. Reduce the liquid by about half. Then add the vegetable broth and the cranberries. Cover and simmer for 1.5 hours. Just before serving, stir in the sour cream and season to taste with salt and pepper.
What goes well with that? Spätzle, of course! Light the fireplace in the living room, open a beer, and the true Black Forest cabin holiday feeling is instantly there!

Who's digging so late at the quarry? Does anyone remember Bodo with his digger? If not, no worries! Even without being named Bodo, guys often enjoy throwing lots of dirt around with impressive machinery. Because the guys from "JGA Schwarzwald" (Black Forest Bachelor Party) recognized this and – of course – successfully tested it themselves, you can get a real digger diploma for the groom-to-be. While they won't actually dig up the garden of your holiday home for the event, we promise: there's plenty of earth to throw around impressively. The best part is: it's all exclusively for the bachelor party. What happens in the digger stays in the digger!
You can book the excavator operator's diploma directly here:

Your whole life will flash by at breakneck speed! Well, at least part of it. Because with the zipline, you can experience the treetops and one of the most beautiful valleys in the Black Forest from above, like a thrilling race car. We don't know if the wedding jitters will seem like child's play afterward, but it's going to be a real blast – we promise! Check it out and book here:
