Our holiday homes and apartments in Alpirsbach in the Black Forest are the ideal starting point for hiking and exploring the Floßweg (Rafting Trail) in the Kinzig Valley between Lossburg and Wolfach. The first section of the trail, from Lossburg to Alpirsbach, is a very family-friendly tour.
From your holiday apartment in Alpirsbach, it's a short walk to the train station. Trains to Loßburg depart hourly. The journey is free with your KONUS guest card, which you receive as part of your visitor's tax, as all public transport in the Black Forest is free with the KONUS guest card.
Enjoy the short 10-minute train ride from Alpirsbach to Loßburg station. From Loßburg station, follow the hiking signs to the Floßweg (Rafting Trail) or Zauberland (Magic Land).
If you're traveling with your children, they'll love Loßburg's Magic Land. There, they'll find a small lake and the source of the Kinzig River. The Kinzig is the river that gave its name to the beautiful Kinzig Valley. From Magic Land, you can enjoy the lovely, gently sloping Rafting Trail with its numerous information panels, and the Felix Trail, an educational path especially appealing to young hikers.
The holiday home Fronwald is located approximately 500 meters from the rafting trail on the Burghalde hill, and our historic holiday home Gerberhaus is located nearby, whereas the holiday apartment Schwarzwald on the Dieboldsberg hill is the ideal starting point for the second part of the rafting trail from Alpirsbach to Wolfach.
