Under the motto "Clock Times," the museum takes you on a unique journey through the history of clocks in the Black Forest. From a clockmaker's workshop 200 years ago to the machine hall, historic shopping arcades, and the timing equipment used at the Munich Olympics, the museum explores the past and present. It even includes radio-controlled clocks. The museum is closely linked to the history of the Junghans company, which employed up to 5,000 people.
Over 100 fantastic classic and modern classic cars are displayed in the private collection across 3000 square meters. These range from a 1902 De Dion Populaire and a 1932 Maybach Zeppelin to the state limousine of former German President Heinrich Lübke from 1959.
The museum is housed in an Art Nouveau building constructed in 1904 by the renowned industrial architect Philipp Jakob Manz as a substation for the "Hamburger-Amerikanische Uhrenfabrik" (HAU). It contains a technical marvel: the largest diesel engine from the pre-World War I era, still completely intact with all its accessories, remains in its original location.
