This was our second stay at the Waldschatz chalet, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit once again.
Both times, we were a couple, along with our two Maine Coon cats – a wonderful place that's also perfectly suited for pets.
The fully fenced property is a real plus, allowing our cats to roam freely and safely.
This made our stay incredibly relaxing for everyone.
The chalet itself is beautifully furnished and superbly equipped. The kitchen leaves nothing to be desired, offering everything you could possibly need for cooking and enjoying meals. The fireplace creates an incredibly cozy atmosphere, and the sauna is ideal for unwinding after a walk in the beautiful Black Forest countryside.
If you're looking for peace, quiet, and relaxation, this is the perfect place. The surroundings are very peaceful – perfect for escaping the daily grind and recharging your batteries.
We would love to return and highly recommend the Waldschatz chalet.

We had a wonderful time at the Waldschatz chalet. We especially enjoyed the sauna and the location with its beautiful view. We felt completely at home in the chalet. The beds were comfortable, and the living room was incredibly cozy with a lovely fireplace atmosphere. We would definitely come back.

We were looking for a holiday home for New Year's Eve because our dogs react very hysterically to even the slightest fireworks. Our stay at the Waldschatz chalet was by far the quietest we've ever had; we've tried several holiday homes over New Year's. The first bang wasn't heard until the stroke of midnight; before that, there was absolutely nothing. After 15 minutes, it was quiet again. The house is wonderful, the location is fantastic, and the tiled stove is phenomenal! There's a wonderful view, and the terrace in front of the entrance and the balcony are surely a dream in summer as well. The house is situated quite high above the road, accessible via very steep lanes. As long as there's no snow, this isn't a problem, but if there is snow, you should be fearless and have good winter tires. The evening before our departure, it snowed heavily, and by the time we left, there was about 20 cm of snow on frozen ground. So, we had to shovel. The snowplow had already been there before we left at 9 a.m. The only thing we would wish for is a more comprehensive range of kitchen utensils and pots! The kitchen is also unfortunately quite small, with limited counter space. However, the shower is fantastic! And you need to be reasonably fit, both for the stairs leading up to the house and for the rather steep stairs inside to the bedrooms upstairs.

We stayed there as a family with two children and a dog, and it was simply wonderful. The house is incredibly cozy, it has everything you could possibly need, and the sauna area is fantastic. We felt completely at home and would definitely come back to this house. The surrounding grounds are also superb. We were there in autumn, and the weather was mixed except for one day, but that one beautiful day really showcased the potential of the outdoor area. It must be absolutely lovely in good weather. The house is also right on the edge of the forest, so you're immediately surrounded by nature. It was perfect for walking the dog, too.

An exceptionally well-equipped house. You don't need to bring anything (except toilet paper)... so cozy! Very high-quality appliances and furniture. Fenced property – great for dogs. We didn't lack a thing. Everything you need to feel comfortable is there. Fantastic location. Thank you so much!

Arrive and feel at home, simply be and enjoy nature. The beautiful house, the cozy interior, and the amenities are perfect; it leaves nothing to be desired and allows the vacation to begin from the very first minute. We immediately felt comfortable, relaxation was guaranteed after every hike, and the feeling of being at home was simply there. Excellent facilities and a great house

A small, cozy house with lots of charm. The property is completely fenced, so our dog could also enjoy the freedom of roaming around the house. Many hiking trails through the beautiful Black Forest were accessible directly from the house. There are terraces on two sides of the house where we could enjoy the sun and the wonderful peace and quiet. The on-site management is very friendly and uncomplicated.

Overall, there's nothing to complain about. We had a very nice holiday. One point I'd like to mention: I would have appreciated being informed about the enormous number of ticks in the region before our arrival. We removed countless ticks from our dog

We chose the Waldschatz chalet because we're traveling with our dog, and a completely fenced property was important to us. We hadn't expected such a gem for us two-legged guests as well. Everything is just perfect. The location, the view, the size of the house, the furnishings, and the amenities. Everything is perfect down to the last detail. Nothing is lacking, and you feel comfortable and relaxed within minutes.

We spent almost a week in the cabin, just the two of us and our two cats. Right from our initial inquiry, it was clear that this was a professionally run business. The response was quick, and any minor issues were resolved immediately.

The cabin itself,
despite its modern amenities, had a warm and relaxing atmosphere, not only for us but also for our cats. We all fell in love with the cabin at first sight! The furnishings are excellent, and the bed is comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything we need, including a perfect coffee machine.
It was incredibly soothing for both body and soul to sit in front of the fireplace after relaxing in the sauna and forget the harsh realities of the outside world, at least for a short while.


The property is well-fenced and offered our feline friends plenty of space to play and roam. Unfortunately, we didn't use the barbecue due to the rainy weather, but it's certainly an option if the weather cooperates.

We had a wonderful stay and were able to relax completely in the cozy house, which was decorated with great attention to detail. Another plus is the lovely meadow paths that lead directly from the house.

We found exactly what we were looking for: peace, relaxation, cleanliness, a great dog walking area practically on the doorstep, a beautiful and well-functioning sauna, a cabin atmosphere combined with the "luxury" we had hoped for (a nice kitchen and modern bathroom, all lights and heating work).

We've been going to this cottage for many years and feel right at home here. It's the perfect place to unwind and clear your head. Highly recommended, especially for those traveling with a dog.

We absolutely loved the Waldschatz holiday home. It was cozy and the view from the balcony was breathtaking. Our little dog adored the garden; since the property is fully fenced, there was no need to worry about him escaping.

A lovely little Black Forest house in a quiet, beautiful setting, perfect for relaxation. There are plenty of opportunities to spend time outdoors on the balconies or terraces when the weather is nice. The sauna and rustic tiled stove ensure relaxing hours should the weather not cooperate.

Fantastic location and beautiful sauna

Beautiful house right on the edge of the forest with a fantastic view of the valley and a sauna. We were there with our young children and enjoyed the playground; we even saw a deer early in the morning. A truly wonderful, peaceful place.
