The holiday home is a dream. We felt right at home.
The sauna and whirlpool bath were very relaxing and we used them every day.
The fireplace also contributed to the wonderful holiday.
A large dog bed was provided for our dog, along with two bowls.
Everything was clean, and communication with the owners, especially Ms. Kuntz, was very straightforward and friendly.
We couldn't use the outdoor area in February, of course, but the view is beautiful. Since it had snowed when we arrived, the path to the house was cleared, which was very convenient.
We would love to come back in the summer because we felt so comfortable.

Anyone planning a holiday in a vacation home and wanting to focus solely on food and drink should come here! The kitchen is superbly equipped (with cutlery and glasses for very large groups) and leaves nothing to be desired – including a spaetzle press. On
top of that, all the necessary utensils (cleaning supplies, toilet paper, etc.) have been thought of.
The whole experience is rounded off with wonderful relaxation and wellnessamenities such as the tiled stove, the sauna, and the fantastic terrace.
You'll enjoy absolute peace and quiet, yet you're only a 10-minute walk from the nearest café and another 10 minutes from the supermarket (on foot, mind you!).

We were two couples who spent a wonderful three days at the Wellness House Fronwald. The facilities were fully equipped, lacking nothing. From pots and pans to spaetzle presses and dish towels, everything was provided. The contactless check-in and check-out were also completely straightforward.

A very nice holiday home, ideal for a quiet holiday with several people. The location and atmosphere are truly pleasant, and overall we had a very good time.
The only drawback was the Wi-Fi: it's very weak and frequently drops out. Working or streaming is therefore hardly possible. Also, the desk described in the advertisement wasmissing in all the rooms, which was a bit of a disappointment for us.
There was a slight smell of dog upon arrival, but this dissipated after airing the place out thoroughly.
The kitchen is very well equipped; nothing is lacking. We particularly appreciated that dishwasher tablets were even provided. Overall, the price-performance ratio is excellent; we were satisfied and would gladly return.

We felt very comfortable with the whole family, including the baby and the dog. Because the house is so well insulated, we were even able to turn off the heating at times. We didn't use the fireplace at all. The house is very well equipped and it was clean.

A pleasant stay in a well-maintained house with good amenities

As a grandmother, I spent 10 days in Fronwald, Alpirsbach with my three children (and their partners) and three grandchildren. Our dogs were also welcome, and there is a lovely enclosed garden. The house is fully equipped, and all the rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. Alpirsbach is a great base for many excursions. Despite the rain, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I can highly recommend a stay at Fronwald to everyone.

And so, we traveled to the Black Forest with three teenagers and four dogs.
A clean, incredibly cozy vacation home awaited us. A very well-equipped kitchen, family-friendly rooms, a sauna and whirlpool, and a fenced garden with a grill and terrace.
Our first impression was spot on. We had eight wonderful days with excursions, cozy barbecues, and plenty of space for everyone.
Very comfortable beds, well-laid-out rooms, and such peace and quiet in the neighborhood.
Alpirsbach, with its restaurants and shops, is just a few minutes' walk away.
There are great destinations around the house where dogs are always welcome. We were able to take our Dalmatians, Labrador, and small Spaniel everywhere with us.
The only thing missing on the holiday was a match for the wood-fired grill. But that's our fault, as we are non-smokers. We took it in stride and quickly found a helpful neighbor who came to our aid.
Should you be traveling as a smoker, there are plenty of opportunities around the house 🙂

The house is very good and spotlessly clean.
The facilities are excellent; we would gladly come back.
The only downside is that there are only two toilets for 11 people.

We stayed at the Gronwald holiday home during Carnival season with 10 adults and 2 children. Everyone loved it. Luckily, the weather was also perfect, and we enjoyed glorious sunshine while exploring the beautiful Black Forest. The highlight was the Carnival parade in Wolfach on Carnival Monday. It was a truly fun and lively event.
Overall, we can't praise this holiday home enough. One small drawback: an additional toilet in the sauna area, where two bedrooms are also located, would be great!

We spent a lovely family weekend there with 10 people. The accommodation is spotlessly clean. There are plenty of comfortable beds available.

The manager was very friendly and competent and took care of everything incredibly quickly. The facilities are excellent; everything you need is there. There are toys for the children, both indoors and outdoors. It's perfect for dogs; the entire property is fenced in, so even smaller dogs can run around outside without worry. We went there as a company team and worked together. The whirlpool bathtub upstairs in the bathroom was fantastic. The house was decorated for Christmas and very nicely furnished overall, even more beautiful than in the photos.
We had to do some cleaning ourselves at the end, which we hadn't known beforehand. Communication felt a bit difficult . The house itself is great and I would recommend it. The sauna is really fantastic. The kitchen is well-equipped.

Seven people with intellectual disabilities and two caregivers spent a wonderful week in the Black Forest. The house, equipped with a sauna and a whirlpool bathtub, was very well received. The home entertainment system was also a hit. The kitchen is superbly equipped with both a coffee maker and an espresso machine. Board games are available for rainy days – it's a shame that some guests are so careless with other people's belongings that some game pieces/cards are missing. Most of the sights can be reached in just under an hour (by car). Currently, there is a rail replacement bus service around Alpirsbach, so public transport is not an option at the moment. Once this is lifted, many sights will be accessible by train – even free with the KONUS guest card.
In short – we would come back anytime.

The holiday home was an ideal solution for us. Despite the bad weather, our group of 14, including toddlers and older children, were able to fully enjoy their stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay at the Fronwald holiday home with a total of 13 people, from babies to grandparents. Everything was provided, from a high chair and childproof socket covers to a stair gate... the garden was fantastic for the kids. The sauna was perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. Plenty of space, very clean, ample dishes (including extra children's dishes), a large refrigerator with freezer compartments, large pots and pans... you can simply have a wonderful time. We spent Easter week in the holiday home with six adults and four children aged three to twelve and felt completely at home. The modern fitted kitchen is well-equipped and functional, the living room is bright and welcoming with large windows, and the whirlpool was enjoyed by everyone, young and old.
The only tiny drawback is the lack of a toilet on the lower floor. Those sleeping downstairs have to go upstairs. Otherwise, there was absolutely nothing to complain about. The automatic coffee machine was in constant use every morning, the fireplace created a cozy atmosphere in the evenings, and we took day trips to the surrounding area. And if the children still weren't tired enough after returning home, they could run around and play in the garden. A thoroughly successful holiday!

We stayed at Haus Fronwald with three families: six adults and seven children between 9 and 15 years old.
Despite the pandemic, the booking process and organization went perfectly. The house was clean and in good order. Everything was as described.
The dining table was a bit small for 13 people. The sauna and outdoor area were lovely. The rooms were fine.
The late arrival and early departure times were certainly due to the pandemic. This was a bit of a limitation, which is why the price-performance ratio wasn't quite balanced. But it was okay.

The birds chirped in the hedges and bushes surrounding the property, and it was a pleasure to watch them from the lovely kitchen table or the comfortable sofa; a true dream for those seeking peace and quiet!
The excellent amenities deserve special mention. Absolutely nothing is lacking. There are plenty of dishes, glasses, and cutlery of the highest quality. There are even sharp knives and enough cutting boards for cooking together. Children's dishes are also provided. This means you don't have to constantly wash up; you can simply run the dishwasher every two or three days. 😉
Thanks to the beautiful, large bathroom with two sinks upstairs and an additional toilet on the middle floor, there's never any space between you.
We can wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation and will definitely be back.

The house is modern and very well-equipped. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of them, so even with large groups, no one is forced to sleep on a sofa bed or similar. The house is exceptionally clean. The garden offers play areas for children, and the kitchen is also very well-equipped and leaves nothing to be desired.
