We had a wonderful family holiday at Bärenschlössle. We lacked nothing. The welcome was very friendly, and we could always contact the manager with any questions. The events in the barn on Friday and Saturday didn't bother us at all.
We would definitely come back.

We booked houses 1 and 2 for our whole family, including the children. Achim was very nice and helpful. The houses are lovely and pleasantly cool despite the warm weather. We had a wonderful time.

A beautifully situated accommodation. Magnificently furnished with everything one could wish for. A bicycle or car is advantageous for shopping.

Large, spacious accommodation that's perfect for many guests! The open-plan kitchen and dining area creates a wonderful atmosphere and encourages conversation. The individual smaller rooms with sofas and armchairs are ideal for quiet chats or other activities. Plenty of bathrooms and toilets ensure there's never a bottleneck.
The surroundings arepeaceful and offer easy access to hiking trails right from the doorstep.

We had a fantastic time at the little castle. Everyone could retreat to their own space when needed. Three "living rooms" for playing games, reading, watching football, whatever we wanted. A well-equipped kitchen, and everything was spotlessly clean. Nicely secluded, but within walking distance of Freudenstadt. A wonderful atmosphere; we were amazed by the decorator's vision. We took some great excursions and saw and experienced so much despite the rain. We could take the dogs out right from the front door. And our baby could crawl around to her heart's content in the huge living area. I can easily imagine this place being perfect for a group of friends.

We had wonderful days in this lovely setting, with plenty of rooms and bathrooms for a comfortable stay, but the main attraction was the very spacious common area for socializing. We lacked nothing. Nice excursions in the region are easily possible, there's a wildlife park right behind the house, and the center of Freudenstadt is within walking distance. It's in a very idyllic location. There'salso a party venue/barn next door. We didn't notice much of the Christmas party and wedding, though, as we were having a great time ourselves 😀

Last weekend, our group of 17 stayed at Bärenschlössle 1 and thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at Achim's farm. We received a wonderfully warm welcome, were shown around the house, and learned about the history of this beautiful property. The rooms are very functional, and despite the slightly above-freezing temperatures at night, the house waspleasantly warm and cozy. The long table could easily be extended to accommodate up to 18 adults using side tables. We were able to cook perfectly in the well-equipped kitchen, spent relaxing evenings in the living rooms, and discovered a new, charming detail in the interior design and decorations each day. There are plenty of bathrooms and toilets for large groups. The first hiking trails start right behind the house, the drive is easy, and despite a wedding taking place at the neighboring farm on Saturday, we were able to sleep soundly and enjoy our privacy thanks to the excellent soundproofing.
We've already decided we want to return and would like to extend our sincere thanks to the cleaning staff for the superb cleanliness and to Achim for his excellent management.

Our group of 17 people loved the house and found it extremely comfortable. Our house manager, Achim Beck, was especially helpful – thank you, Achim! Our stay was flawless, but please place the glasses (for those under 1.80m) lower down. The bedrooms would also benefit from window blinds (and a trash can).

We stayed at the Hofgut Bärenschlössle for a company weekend. A wedding was taking place in the neighboring house, which is also part of the complex, at the same time, but this didn't bother us. Even the music at night was quite tolerable. We felt very comfortable and would gladly return.

We chose this accommodation for a team-building week.
It had enough rooms for all team members, and sufficient bathrooms and toilets.
We particularly liked the large kitchen connected to the living room. It truly had everything you could possibly need, and in ample quantities.
The rooms were very comfortable and offered plenty of space torelax.
Cooking together, playing games, and taking naps were no problem.
The location was fantastic; it was peaceful, yet within easy walking distance of the town center or the forest.
The showers had good water pressure, and the hot water came on very quickly.
All in all, a successful stay with plenty of variety in a very nice accommodation.

Our four families (eight adults, seven children) had a wonderful holiday during the Carnival break. We were surprised how cozy and warm the house was thanks to the central heating and underfloor heating. With plenty of space, a fully equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds, we felt very much at home and will be visiting again soon from Heidelberg!

We spent a weekend (two nights) at Bärenschlössle 1. Contact with the manager was very pleasant, and everything worked out wonderfully. From key handover to check-out, everything was top-notch. The house itself is simply perfect for a secluded yet extravagant feast/weekend get-together. The main room with its adjoining parlors is particularly stunning. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a great brunch.
Upstairs is a bit cramped for more than 10 people, but if everyone gets along well, it wasn't a problem at all for our group (16 people). I highly recommend it!

A total of 16 people, including toddlers, teenagers, young adults, and us as grandparents, celebrated at the Schlössle: a unique house where EVERYTHING was provided for a very stylish and unforgettable weekend. The huge kitchen, with its ample dishes and glasses, fantastic tiered serving trays, bowls, and wooden boards, made it easy for us to cater for everyone andcreate beautiful buffets for meals. Everything was spotlessly clean and very, very nicely arranged!
Achim was a super nice host.
We were even allowed to go sledding right next to the house (great fun!).

Spacious rooms, excellent amenities, and a beautiful location with plenty of activities. Perfect for a family vacation. We felt very comfortable. The only drawback: the event barn right next to the property. We only realized very late in the booking process that events were taking place right outside our door. Upon arrival, we stumbled rightinto the middle of a wedding. Proactive communication about this would have been helpful. Then we could have been more considerate and prepared for the fact that the party next door would continue until the early hours.

We stayed three nights in this incredibly wonderful setting. We received a very warm welcome from Achim, the manager. His friendliness alone created a truly comfortable atmosphere. Everything you need for cooking and living is readily available. It was spotlessly clean, and the rooms are perfectly designed and beautifully decorated. One room with three bunk beds was too cramped and small for our liking, so we didn't use it. But all the other rooms are wonderfully furnished. It was simply fantastic.

It was a magnificent location for our New Year's Eve gathering with friends. We cleared out the large hall and used it as a workshop space. Communication with the tenant, Achim Beck, was incredibly easygoing and accommodating! We also got along very well with the tenants above us and the wedding party in the event barn across the way. Every morning we went ice skatingin the lake on the property. The somewhat secluded location and proximity to nature were wonderful! We would love to come back, but next time we might rent the Bärenschlössle 2 above, as it has a larger group room.

The living area downstairs is ideal for dining together, and the kitchen has everything you need (large refrigerator, microwave, induction cooktop, plenty of plates and dishes, kettle, etc.) for a large party.
Communication with the owner was excellent; everything went perfectly!

The spacious rooms and layout were ideal for a business meeting. We particularly appreciated the large living area, the very well-equipped kitchen, and the location. We also had a contact person on-site should we have any questions.

A beautiful house where you can truly relax. There are more sleeping options than listed. Remember to bring extra bed linens or book them in advance.

This is our third time here. As a large family with three generations and our dogs, we feel completely at home here and will definitely be back. At the latest when the fourth generation is old enough.

For my birthday, I invited family members to the manor house at Hofgut Bärenschlössle 1. My wife and I spent the first three days alone in this extraordinary atmosphere before my guests gradually arrived. We received a very warm welcome from Anja, the sister of the estate manager, Achim Beck, and found the holiday home exactly as pictured . We were overwhelmed and immediately felt at home. The amenities are incomparable to any holiday home we've stayed in before. Nothing is lacking. Everything is spotlessly clean and ready for use. The furniture is clean and high-quality. The living and sleeping areas are a dream, and the bathrooms are modern and spacious. All in all, a dreamlike oasis of well-being where my guests felt more than comfortable. I would particularly like to highlight the long dining table, which is perfect for a sophisticated and enjoyable celebration. All the rooms can be brightly lit or bathed in warm light. We had a wonderful week at the manor house, a memory that will last a lifetime. We thank Achim and his sister Anja, whose friendly and attentive manner made our stay so perfect. Thank you so much.

We had a wonderful weekend at Bärenschlössle. The house was particularly impressive due to its fantastic location and spacious living room. It was perfect for a family get-together.
I would especially like to commend the excellent communication with the contact person. A heartfelt thank you for such a straightforward approach.
However, I would like to mention two points that could perhapsbe improved.
Unfortunately, the pillows weren't very comfortable and some didn't look very appealing before the sheets were put on. Furthermore, it would be nice to have a spare pack of toilet paper in the house.

It was beautiful

It was simply wonderful; the house is beautiful, and we really liked the location a little away from the town, surrounded by greenery – it was perfect. There were 11 of us, so an extra shower upstairs would have been nice at times, but it worked out fine.

A super extravagant place to stay, where you can feel like a country estate owner for a day. Absolutely fantastic.
Very friendly management and totally uncomplicated.
The house has everything you need to pamper your family.
The surrounding countryside is perfect for hiking.
Occasionally, a brass band comes and even plays music for the guests, but only if there's a wedding taking place at the venue next door. 😉

The Bärenschlössle 2 holiday apartment is very comfortably furnished, and we had plenty of space for seven people. We were able to truly relax. The well-equipped kitchen also allowed us to cook delicious meals every evening. The only thing missing was a filter coffee machine, as only a fully automatic coffee machine was available. So we had to brew our own coffee 🙂 We would love to come back again.

Very spacious accommodation in a historic building, lovingly decorated; large kitchen with plenty of dishes. The location by the forest with a wildlife enclosure and within walking distance of Freudenstadt's market square is fantastic!
However, the Bärenschlössle is unfortunately not recommended for noise-sensitive people. During our week-long holiday, two weddings took place in the event barn next door, and the music was still clearly audible at four in the morning.
All in all, we would still come back!

The stay was actually very nice. However, we were unaware that weddings were taking place in the neighboring event barn on Friday and Saturday. This should have been communicated before booking. The bedrooms facing that direction were significantly disturbed by music and drunken guests until the early hours of the morning, which met with little understanding from the manager. A pity.

The town center and market square are within walking distance; the latter, with its several restaurants, great playground, and ice cream parlor right next door, is perfect for children and parents.

We arrived as a group of seven and received a very warm welcome. We were thrilled with the house; it's in a very quiet location, surrounded by meadows and forests. The facilities were excellent; we lacked nothing. We each had our own room, some with a double bed, others as shared rooms. All the rooms wereclean and nicely decorated. Upstairs, there were three showers and two toilets, while downstairs there were two more toilets, a shower, and a utility room with a washing machine and dryer. The kitchen was the heart of the house for us, as was one of the three living rooms.
From the house, you can hike directly to waterfalls and a swimming lake. We also went to the bakery every morning and sometimes went into the lovely town for dinner in the evenings. We did have one minor complaint, though: a clothesline would have been nice, so we wouldn't have to run the dryer all the time in the heat we experienced. Perhaps we just didn't find it; it's easy to get lost in the house! ;) We will definitely be back! Thank you Achim and many thanks to the Roth family.

Our whole family had a wonderful holiday at Bärenschlösschen. There was plenty of space to relax both inside and out, and in the surrounding area as well. We were also lucky that no parties were taking place in the neighboring barn, so we enjoyed complete peace and quiet. Achim was a very relaxed host.

The hosts are incredibly friendly and always available to answer any questions. Our only criticism is the lack of blackout curtains, whichis a bit of a problem, especially with children. We will definitely be back and would love to return.

This was the perfect place for our family gathering; the spacious living area with kitchen was ideal for cooking, enjoying meals, chatting, and relaxing together; the ping-pong table and new gas grill provided everything we needed, and the weather was absolutely perfect. The contact person was always available, very attentive, and helpful. We'd love to come back.

The accommodation is perfect for a family holiday. Beautiful location with a large property and a great view of Freudenstadt. The house is fully equipped and has a kitchen that is truly the heart of the home, where everyone feels comfortable. Plenty of space to retreat to in the cozy living room corners and lovely bedrooms complete the picture. Unfortunately, the weather wasn'tperfect, but you can easily spend rainy days in this house.

Despite the rainy weather, we had a wonderful time in this beautiful house and its stunning surroundings. It's ideal for day trips and hikes right from the doorstep. There's so much to do in Freudenstadt; we'd love to come back again!

Just so you know, so you can take action early, there were moths in my friends' closet; they were in the triple room next to the single toilet! The house exceeded our expectations. It was furnished with great care and attention to detail, and tastefully decorated. Each room featured interesting, unique pictures that perfectly suited the house and the Black Forest, and which we loved. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms very spacious. The kitchen was excellent, with plenty ofdishes, glasses, and cutlery. The regal ambiance made us feel transported back a few hundred years, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We would love to return and will definitely recommend this house.

The holiday home is lovingly furnished and you don't have to do without anything...everything you need is there...a bakery, various restaurants and shops are within walking distance...you can easily leave the car parked. The hiking trails start right at the house and the wildlife enclosure right next to it is a great bonus...we candefinitely recommend this house...

This house is a dream. The furnishings and decor could easily be featured in a home decor magazine. The kitchen is amazing, equipped with everything you could possibly need.

The facilities were excellent. With so many rooms and bathrooms, a stay for 12 people was no problem at all. The kitchen and the long dining table were real highlights and made for cozy, shared meals.

We had a wonderful holiday in the Black Forest near Freudenstadt.
We deducted one star for the amenities because the children's bed was a travel cot with a standard mattress, which was very hard and offered little support. Perhaps a better option would have been preferable.
