
You can either travel from your dream vacation apartment in Alpirsbach through the Kinzig Valley via Hausach and Gutach to Hornberg/Triberg, or via Schramberg and Lauterbad. The first route is also easily accessible by train. The second route is only practical by car. From Alpirsbach, it takes 40 minutes. From Seewald and Enzklösterle, it takes 75 minutes. In Triberg, parking is available in the parking garage in the town center, at the mountain lake, at Scheffelplatz, or at Adelheid. Every summer, the famous Hornberg Shooting Festival is performed on the open-air stage. Performances are usually in June, July, and August. There is typically another play as well as a children's play. If you're in the area at this time of year, it's a nice idea for a day trip.

Almost everyone knows the saying, "It ended like the Hornberg Shooting." But what exactly happened? From the town center up to Hornberg Castle, the story unfolds as it might have. Back in 1564. There are 14 stations along the way and picnic areas. From the castle hill, there's a fantastic view of the town. You can see the Black Forest Railway viaduct and gaze down into the Gutach Valley. There, you'll also find a multimedia presentation about the "Hornberg Shooting." The path is well-suited for strollers. For children, the "Little Landsknecht" playfully guides them along the way. If you purchase "Hornberg Balls" for a small fee at the "Kramerkarren" (peddler's cart), the Tourist Information Office, the Hotel "Schloss Hornberg," or the Natur-Café Waidele, you'll have access to additional games! "Hornberg Balls €2." The walk takes 1.5 hours and starts on Bahnhofstrasse (Station Street).

Every half hour and on the hour, a cuckoo clock as tall as a house chimes in Hornberg-Niederwasser. It measures 10.80 meters in height and 11.50 meters in width, and features 21 moving figures. It has held the Guinness World Record for "Widest Cuckoo Clock" since 1997.

Germany's highest waterfalls ! A spectacular natural wonder, the waterfall plunges 163 meters down the Gutach River. Information panels about the local flora and fauna accompany you along the way. The falls are accessible year-round and are particularly worthwhile during snowmelt or when they are icy in winter.
Opening hours: The waterfalls are illuminated in the evenings until 10:00 pm and offer a fascinating sight. Admission from €3.
The nature adventure park is a complete experience and a work of art in nature. Whether you simply want to breathe deeply, experience nature, or romp and play with your children.
The Black Forest Railway Adventure Trail begins at Triberg train station, has 16 stations, and is divided into two sections: the Lower and Upper Adventure Trail. Each section is 6 km long. Both sections can be combined. Due to the alpine nature of the trail, it is suitable for children aged 6 and up. Strollers are not suitable. An exhibition and installations in the train station mark the start of the trail. A small cinema shows short films about the Black Forest Railway.
