This hike is also sure to delight children, as they'll have lots of fun exploring the 8-kilometer circular trail with "Felix and his friends." Duration: 3 hours.
The nature and adventure trail begins on the left-hand side at the entrance to Besenfeld, coming from Freudenstadt. There is also a parking lot there. Before starting, we bought an adventure backpack for the little ones for €3 at the tourist information office. The 8-kilometer trail starts at the Schönegründer Steige and initially climbs gently, offering beautiful views of the village. Follow the yellow diamond marker. Along the entire route, you'll learn a lot about local flora and fauna. For children, there are many signs with challenging questions about Felix and his friends. This trail is suitable for strollers.

A scenic circular hike is recommended only with sturdy footwear. The trail is not suitable for strollers. The hike begins in Besenfeld at the Sonne Town Hall, where parking is available. Walk to the signpost for the source of the Nagold River . From there, follow the blue diamond marker briefly to the Kirchweg junction. Then, follow the Taubentalweg trail marked with a yellow diamond. The trail begins with a gentle downhill slope as you walk alongside the Nagold River. The small fountain you pass is the source of the Nagold. Upon reaching the Schorrental district, take a break at the Gasthaus Forelle (Forelle Inn). Refreshed, continue the hike with a gentle uphill climb back to Urnagold and the Sonne Town Hall.
An easy 11-kilometer circular hike leads through the forest to the adventure park with its giant slide in the Poppeltal valley and back via Poppelsee lake. The hike begins in the center of town at the Sonne town hall. From there, it's a short walk along the main road towards Bad Wildbad. Cross the main road and follow the forest path towards Obere Äcker, marked with a blue diamond, then downhill towards the Poppeltal giant slide ( www.riesenrutschbahn.de ). The adventure park awaits you with mini bumper cars, a carousel, and the giant slide with its 1500-meter uphill and downhill ride. A beer garden is available for a quick bite. Approximately 100 meters further on, we recommend stopping at the Hotel Waldeck. After your break, the trail continues gently uphill towards Poppelsee, following the yellow diamond marker back to the starting point of the hike .

The holiday home in Schernbach is a 2-minute drive away. It's also about a 2-kilometer walk. The hamlet of Erzgrube is easily accessible from the holiday home. From Enzklösterle, it's a 15-minute drive via Besenfeld and through the Schorrental valley. You can easily spend a whole day at the Nagold Dam. Whether hiking, swimming, sailing, go-karting, or inline skating, there's something for everyone. There are playgrounds, a water playground, and the Kingfisher Park.
The 6-kilometer circular hiking trail around the ore mine begins below the Nagold River, to the left of the lake. The best place to park is in the first parking lot on the right. Cross the road and continue straight ahead over the bridge, then turn right. From there, the trail climbs gently uphill to the Nagold Dam. At the bridge, cross to the other side of the lake and descend back to your car. You can stop for refreshments at the Gasthof Seeheiner, located directly on the lake.

The Kingfisher Trail, complete with kingfishers and a water playground, is an experience for young and old. Here you can experience a 100-meter-long miniature Nagold River with climbing elements and waterfalls.
