Pure feel-good ambience in your cozy apartment. The exposed historical stone wall and the exposed framework in your living room are beautiful. The natural daylight that streams through your balcony door on the wonderful balcony enchants you and the natural warmth is indescribable. You can recharge your batteries and recharge your batteries on your balcony while looking out into nature.
A small hallway takes you to the open living, dining and cooking area with exposed beams and exposed walls.
The kitchen is modern and well-equipped, a smart TV and sofa bed invite you to spend cozy hours. The dining area offers space for 4 people. From this central room you can access the south-facing balcony, which has a table and chairs, a fantastic view of the Black Forest and the old town.

The absolute highlight for your stay in our special holiday apartments is on the 3rd attic. A wellness oasis is waiting for you here. Take a sauna here like you're in paradise. After a sauna session, rest on the sauna loungers, which are incredibly comfortable. Make a warm foot bath. Here too, as in the entire house, the combination of old and new is a feature that creates coziness. With a glass of tea, which is available free of charge, every last hectic soul can find peace. You can look through the built-in skylights either at the sky, at the tops of the Black Forest fir trees or at the tower of our St. Martin's Church.
The wellness heaven is available for your sole use. Each holiday apartment enters an exclusive date reserved for you in our on-site reservation list. So you can enjoy your time like in a private sauna.

Our cozy meeting point and lounge is the bakery.
A true gem with old quarry stone walls that have been freshly refinished and adorn the wall. Historical tables and chairs invite you to linger in the approximately 35 square meter room.
The wood-burning oven (Häussler) is fired with wood.
An old jukebox can be played. Here, up to 25 people can comfortably sit at the festively set table.
Why do we call our homes “gate”?
Upon arrival you will encounter a remarkable house. There is little to suggest that you are coming from the center to the gate to the Black Forest dream view. Let yourself be surprised.
The spacious bedroom has a large double bed (1.80 x 2.00m) and a closet. The bathroom with the floor-level shower offers a toilet, a sink, a mirror and a hairdryer. The apartment is on the 2nd floor
Apartments 2 and 3 have a small anteroom, which can be used as an additional hallway and two apartments can be combined into one large one.
The 4 well-equipped holiday apartments are located in a listed house, which was completely renovated and modernized over 3 years.
The elevator takes you comfortably to the corresponding floor, where you can enter the apartment without any further barriers. The modern wall heating was cleverly embedded in the traditional clay plaster, thereby preserving the charm of the house.
All apartments are characterized by an open living and dining area with a modern fitted kitchen. The kitchen has a 4-plate ceramic hob, a refrigerator with freezer compartment, an oven, a coffee machine, a toaster and a dishwasher. Dishes, cups, glasses and tea towels as well as many small, useful kitchen tools can also be found in the kitchens.
A Smart TV with a comfortable sofa corner invites you to linger. All bathrooms are of high quality and modern, the showers are floor-level. High chairs and toddler beds are available by arrangement.
Internet and WiFi are available throughout the holiday home. The washing machine, a tumble dryer and useful cleaning utensils are located centrally in the house and are available to all holidaymakers. Each apartment has its own special charm and great attention to detail.

The holiday home standing on the city walls offers not only a wide panoramic view of the Black Forest but also proximity to the old town. The medieval town of Dornstetten has a lot to offer, so that in addition to everyday things, small cafés and bars can also be reached on foot on holiday. The enchanting old town with its half-timbered houses, the medieval market square and small shops can also be explored on foot. A guided tour through the historic old town, the local history museum, the doll and toy museum, and the summer open-air theater are cultural offerings in Dornstetten. Hallwangen, a suburb of Dornstetten, has a barefoot park and high ropes course , where you can experience nature with all your senses.

Freudenstadt with the largest market square in Germany is only 8km away. The Black Forest High Road is a highlight in both summer and winter with the Lothar Trail for running and learning, the winter sports facilities and lifts. The Baden-Württemberg metropolises such as Stuttgart, Freiburg, Karlsruhe and Baden-Baden, as well as Lake Constance, can be reached in about an hour by car.
