Gateway to wellness heaven – “Close to heaven”

The absolute highlight for your stay in our special holiday apartments is on the 3rd attic. A wellness oasis is waiting for you here. Take a sauna here like you're in paradise. After a sauna session, rest on the sauna loungers, which are incredibly comfortable. Make a warm foot bath. Here too, as in the entire house, the combination of old and new is a feature that creates coziness. With a glass of tea, which is available free of charge, every last hectic soul can find peace. You can look through the built-in skylights either at the sky, at the tops of the Black Forest fir trees or at the tower of our St. Martin's Church.

The wellness heaven is available for your sole use. Each holiday apartment enters an exclusive date reserved for you in our on-site reservation list. So you can enjoy your time like in a private sauna.

Gateway to sociability, gatherings

Our cozy meeting point and lounge is the bakery.

A true gem with old quarry stone walls that have been freshly refinished and adorn the wall. Historical tables and chairs invite you to linger in the approximately 35 square meter room.

The wood-burning oven (Häussler) is fired with wood.

An old jukebox can be played. Here, up to 25 people can comfortably sit at the festively set table.

Why do we call our homes “gate”?

Upon arrival you will encounter a remarkable house. There is little to suggest that you are coming from the center to the gate to the Black Forest dream view. Let yourself be surprised.

The open apartment offers plenty of daylight and comfort, the exposed beams and the high ceiling with skylight are special features. The large room extends across the entire half of the house and offers an open kitchen with dining area, as well as a living area with a sofa bed, smart TV and a large double bed (1.80 x 2.00m). The kitchen is modern and well-equipped, the dining area offers space for 4 people. From the bed you can look directly into the Black Forest and can separate yourself from the living area with a curtain. The south-facing balcony offers space for 4 people and a fantastic view. The daylight bathroom with the floor-level shower offers a toilet, a sink, a mirror and a hairdryer. The apartment is on the 2nd floor and can be easily reached by elevator.

The 4 well-equipped holiday apartments are located in a listed house, which was completely renovated and modernized over 3 years. There is a cozy reading corner with a selection of books available to all guests in the house. A wellness area newly built in 2021 with a sauna, loungers and much more makes the hearts of our holiday guests beat faster. On request, the bakery can be booked as a lounge, bakery or conference room.

The elevator takes you comfortably to the corresponding floor, where you can enter the apartment without any further barriers. The modern wall heating was cleverly embedded in the traditional clay plaster, thereby preserving the charm of the house.

All apartments are characterized by an open living and dining area with a modern fitted kitchen. The kitchen has a 4-plate ceramic hob, a refrigerator with freezer compartment, an oven, a coffee machine, a toaster and a dishwasher. Dishes, cups, glasses and tea towels as well as many small, useful kitchen tools can also be found in the kitchens.

A Smart TV with a comfortable sofa corner invites you to linger. All bathrooms are of high quality and modern, the showers are floor-level. High chairs and toddler beds are available by arrangement.

Internet and WiFi are available throughout the holiday home. The washing machine, a tumble dryer and useful cleaning utensils are located centrally in the house and are available to all holidaymakers. Each apartment has its own special charm and great attention to detail.
