Or you can come to the Freudenstadt holiday home , which is located in the manor house of Hofgut Bärenschlössle. From there you can reach the center of Freudenstadt in 5 minutes. For the Black Forest High Road and the Black Forest National Park, a car is recommended for excursions in the northern Black Forest, but it is also possible with the well-developed local bus transport. At 219 x 216 meters, the city's market square is the largest converted market square in Germany . The floor plan was modeled on a mill board game. There is the upper and lower market square as well as the post office square. The arcades can be found almost everywhere around the market square and invite you to stroll and shop under cover.
There have been 50 amazing fountains on a sloping surface measuring 45 x 18 meters since 1999. Especially in summer, the market square area near the fountains is visited by families with children. Because it's nicer than going to the outdoor pool when the little ones run through the fountains when the weather is nice. Then you can take the picnic blanket to the meadow or the children's playground next door. In any case, it's time for a delicious ice cream at Soravia ice cream parlor on Marktplatz 15. Enjoy a day in the Barefoot Park in Hallwagen, where the enjoyment has two sides: The children love roaming through the park. But some adults will groan in some places and be amazed at how sensitive their feet are.
The park does not have its own address. There are parking spaces along “Silberwaldstrasse”. Parking costs €3, otherwise there is no entry fee to the park. From there you can reach the Barfußpark in just a few minutes. You can store your shoes in small lockers in front of the entrance so that you don't have to take unnecessary luggage with you. You should have €1 ready for the locker. From there you go along a dirt path to the first water play area and climbing frame. After overcoming a few small obstacles you reach a small pond. There the little ones can “dam up” water and see what happens when the floodgates open. A nice place to cool off and play in summer.
We continue through an ankle-high water hole to a pub. The rest of the route mostly runs through the forest, where visitors can enjoy the path, which offers a wide variety of experiences to the senses, in any weather under the protection of trees. The various stations and play equipment are connected to each other with bark mulch.
