Our stay in this historic building (over 800 years old) was simply magical. Old floorboards, sloping floors, low ceilings, and so much attention to detail. When Thomas (the manager) talks about the house, you can see the sparkle in his eyes, and he tries to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your wonderful house.
The ambiance took some getting used to at first, but by the second day we found it charmingly rustic. We particularly liked the large, old-fashioned kitchen with its modern amenities. The large round table encouraged lively conversation. Our older participants were very particular about the mattresses in the bedrooms. In retrospect, we would give them a very good rating. Since there were no disabled participants, we didn't have any major problems with the stairs or the slightly higher door thresholds. The participants, mostly aged 78-88, all remained unharmed and would return anytime.
Great house, lots of history
Great atmosphere and very friendly landlord!
As a family with 12 people and 3 dogs, we got along well there. Our asp. Mr. Schrempp was very nice and courteous- we all felt very comfortable. However, you should still be on foot or without assistants, because the thresholds are somewhat sublime and you have to climb over it. Fortunately, it was not a problem for our
Received by the landlord with open arms.
Is also to the drink, since we were traveling with the DB.
We liked the Vogtshaus very much.
Can recommend it 100%.
We spent a weekend as a large family at Vogtshof. The house is unique, very rustic with its old beams, furnishings, and slightly uneven floors (due to the age of the house). We found everything we needed and felt very comfortable there. We would have loved to stay a few more days to enjoy the outdoor area, weather permitting. The house has a pleasant, homey atmosphere.
The host is very friendly, provided us with information and suggestions for excursions beforehand, and was very helpful and available whenever we needed him. We would gladly return.
The Vogtshof is, as described, an ancient, authentic farmhouse. Great for those who love wood and crooked walls and floors. Our large family loved it, even if some of us regularly bumped our heads on the doorframes 😉
This was our fourth stay at the Vogtshof, and we all enjoyed it very much. Our two small dogs were absolutely no problem.
A very pleasant stay.
The house is incredibly and lovingly furnished, and we felt very comfortable. The large table was perfect for sitting together, eating, and playing games—ideal for larger families or groups. The host was very friendly and even recommended a lovely place to visit.
For our family of ten, aged between 21 and 59, this was a stylish farmhouse with crooked beams, ceilings, and hallways – all with charm. Five separate bedrooms and two bathrooms provided plenty of space and no clutter; the tiled stove was fantastic and kept the house warm for a long time. The kitchen was well-equipped – nothing was missing. Two refrigerators with freezers, or simply cooling food on the balcony, made it easy to store groceries. The only thing that needed updating was the bathroom fixtures – they were a bit dated – and unfortunately, there was no direct window to the outside, so the ventilation system had to do the job. Our dog had short runs right around the house – and just 400 meters away was open fields. Parking was right in front of the house, and shops and attractions were in the immediate vicinity. We received a great introduction and an interesting tour all the way to the attic. For us, it was simply wonderful.
We felt very comfortable at the Vogthof.
The landlords were very friendly, kind, and accommodating. A beautiful old (historic) farmhouse with lots of charm and many details from the past, yet it doesn't lack any modern comforts. Lovingly furnished and impeccably equipped, it had everything we needed.
The rooms were exactly as pictured. We were a group of 10 people of all ages and felt very comfortable.
As a large family (11 people), we felt very comfortable in the old house. We especially enjoyed sitting at the round table in the kitchen. The kitchen is very well equipped! The long dining table was also perfect for us. The bedrooms are tastefully furnished and cozy, and the mattresses are comfortable. We only found the seating area in the living room a bit too antique and not very comfortable. This could be improved, for example, with side tables. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for us to stay here for a few days and soak up the history of this ancient house.
Our stay at the Vogtshof was absolutely wonderful. We all enjoyed it.
Great house in a great setting!
We were personally greeted by the owner and given a tour of the premises. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the tiled stove made the living room wonderfully warm.
The house exudes a very special charm; even in bad weather, the cozy living room is a comfortable place to be.
The Vogtshof in Rottweil-Bühlingen deservedly received the state heritage award. The 400-year-old building was clearly
restored with great care and attention to detail, allowing visitors to appreciate the original construction methods. The thresholds, low doorways, and uneven floors demonstrate a deep respect for the original structure. The massive beams, visible throughout , are captivating and convey the confidence with which something lasting was created.
At the same time, we found the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms to be spacious, clean, and modern, allowing us (six adults and one child) to spread out comfortably and feel completely at ease.
The rural setting and the peace and quiet, free from traffic noise, were also wonderful. We highly recommend this house.
We stayed at the Vogtsthof with six adults and a dog. Everyone enjoyed it very much. Since it was still cold outside, we heated the living room with the tiled stove. The house has a unique atmosphere, plenty of space, and we slept very well in the beds. Thomas, the owner, was very friendly and helpful, and told us the history of the house when we checked in. He had many tips for good shopping and activities in the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Beautiful holiday home, lovingly furnished.
Ideal for a large family.
All in all, a cozy and stylish vacation home. Dog-friendly!
Friendly landlord!
Beautiful old house, great amenities, very friendly landlords, ideal for a large family gathering ❤️
Everything was perfect for us.
We spent four wonderful days at Vogtshof with the whole family. The garden offered plenty of space to relax, play, barbecue, and spend time together. The house is charmingly furnished, and we lacked nothing. The owner was also very friendly and had some great tips for things to do in the area.
We live with 4 couples and 2 dogs in the Vogtshof. Al is the house is new, everything that is not in the house is really a good equipment and a nice place to be. We had a great time in Rottweil, which is the best way to go to the top of the road (which is 1.5 hours from Freiburg and the new 450m long blackforest line on the slopes of the river) and there is also a bridge with a tussenstop on the Titisee. Its poet lies in the water of Triberg from the mooie village of Shiltach. Within 4 km the beautiful Eschachtal was a wonderful walking route made with the dogs.
Restaurants are within a distance of 5 km (across the street we can see) and the BBQ is also within walking distance.
This is our home, Thomas 🙂
This is one of the best jobs, there is a lot of vacancy.
We spent a very comfortable week at the Vogtshof. The accommodations were wonderful; the kitchen was practically fully equipped, except for a whisk. We bought one and added it to the kitchen staff. :) The host was very friendly and always ready to help or provide information whenever we contacted him. The living room is very inviting , and the armchairs and sofa are perfect for relaxing in the evenings.
We spent three nights at Vogtshof and had a truly wonderful time! The house is very old, crooked, and a bit dark, but lovingly and beautifully furnished and very charmingly rustic. The good weather was perfect, as it was easy to keep small children entertained in the courtyard and garden. There are plenty of places to visit nearby for all ages; for example, the miniature village and the nursery with its petting zoo were our highlights. The house is superbly equipped, and the kitchen leaves nothing to be desired.
We would love to come back again! ☺️
We, a coaching team from a sports school, spent a weekend at Vogtshof. Our goal was simply to spend some time together in a pleasant atmosphere, and Vogtshof provided exactly that! The old, rustic architecture of the holiday home gave us the perfect ambiance. Everything we needed was provided; we only had to bring a few essential items for meals. There's a large garden that's perfect for enjoying the sunshine. Booking was easy, and the owner (Thomas) was very friendly. Highly recommended. We'd love to come back!
Fantastic holiday home! We stayed there with several families of friends, some with small children. There's plenty of space, and the children can play outside wonderfully. The kitchen is superbly equipped (finally, enough dishes, cutlery, and glasses!). We were allowed to check out an hour later, which wasn't a problem at all. The owner is very friendly, always easy to reach, and helpful with tips.
We felt completely at ease and received a very warm welcome. Thank you so much!
It was clean and had everything we needed.
A sauna would have been nice; we missed that compared to last year. Otherwise, everything was great. Many thanks also to Mr. Schrempp for his kind assistance.
Everything was great, a very nice and spacious holiday home
A real gem! The old Vogtshof impresses with its rustic atmosphere, stylish furnishings, and modern amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms. Milk and eggs from the farmer right next door, a friendly landlord, and great opportunities for excursions. We'd love to come back!
A wonderful experience in an extraordinary place. We were three generations in a house that could tell an endless story. It was a special experience for everyone. Perfect for people who love something a little different.
We had a wonderful long autumn weekend at the lovingly renovated Vogtshof in Bühlingen. Mr. Schrempp renovated the beautiful farmhouse with great attention to detail; the layout was perfect for nine people, and there would even have been room for more. The surrounding area also showed itself in its best light during the sunny days.
We were a group of 14 friends and felt very comfortable over the weekend.
The house has a lot of charm and is ideally equipped.
The beds are very comfortable and the garden is a real bonus when the weather is nice.
The booking process was also straightforward.
The house has a lovely garden with playground equipment, a sandbox, and a fence around the property. This allowed the children to move around freely. It was very relaxing for everyone.
The Vogtshof Rottweil offers a wonderful setting for a relaxing getaway. In the historic building with its romantic garden, we felt transported back in time.
For people with limited mobility, the house, with its sometimes high door thresholds and uneven wooden floors, might be a bit challenging. However, we found this quite charming, and it effectively encouraged a slower pace of life .
The house was spotlessly clean upon our arrival, and the furnishings offer everything one could need today (including modern appliances and technology). The (kitchen) cabinets and dressers are, in keeping with the style, older and some are a little worn, but still perfectly functional.
Our boxer dog also seemed quite at home in and around the house and particularly enjoyed the large, secluded garden with its abundance of shady spots. For children, there's a slide, swings, a sandbox, and several pedal vehicles.
There are many great destinations in the area, easily accessible by car. For example, we visited Hohenzollern Castle. The old town of Rottweil is also beautiful and inviting. Our children (10 & 8) were thrilled with the large outdoor swimming pool.
I would particularly like to mention the absolutely uncomplicated and unobtrusive management. After a brief arrangement via WhatsApp, the key to the house was left for us in the open house, and returning it was just as easy. During our stay, the manager stopped by twice briefly to water the plants, but we hardly noticed him. No intrusion, no prying, absolutely pleasant – we really appreciated that.
Thank you so much for these wonderful days at Vogtshof!
We baked currant tarts and enjoyed reading and chatting in the garden. The house is cozy, beautiful, and quaint with a touch of spookiness
Our goal was a relaxing family holiday in the Black Forest – and it was exactly what we hoped for. The Vogtshof Rottweil was a wonderful home away from home for four days. We enjoyed the ambiance, the beautiful garden, and the comfortable beds. There was plenty to discover in the house, and the region also offers a wealth of activities. Fourteen people (six children and eight adults) comfortably stayed in the house; the only minor inconvenience was the occasional wait for the toilet.
Many thanks to the owner; we were very happy.
Even from the outside, you can tell that this quaint little house has seen better days, but that doesn't detract from its character at all.
Quite the opposite – as soon as you unlock the heavy old front door, you're eager to see what's inside. And you won't be disappointed.
Beautifully furnished double or multi-bed rooms, all decorated with great charm. Stepping into the wonderful country-style kitchen – a word of caution for taller guests 😉 – cooks will feel right at home. The old wood-burning stove has been preserved, and the kitchen is equipped with antique cabinets and shelves. It has everything you could possibly need – from a microwave and a regular coffee maker or a fully automatic espresso machine to plenty of dishes and glasses for a group. The large living room with its beautiful tiled stove and bench seating is perfect for cozy evenings with friends and family.
All eight of us were truly delighted with this charming gem and can highly recommend a stay at the Vogtshof 😉
This was our first time at Vogtshof. It was absolutely beautiful. Pet-friendly and child-friendly.
There's a small playground for the children. Vogtshof has been furnished with so much love.
Stepping into this house truly feels like stepping back in time. The kitchen is superbly equipped, the rooms cozy, although some of the living room furniture is a bit dated. However, the pictures clearly show what to expect.
If this is what you're looking for, it's something truly special.
A very beautiful - very old! House with a lot of history and space for friends and cozy evenings.
And this was at Christmas, it was wonderful! A Christmas tree was provided, complete with decorations – everything was there. The kitchen was superbly equipped, even with sharp knives (which were nowhere else to be found). The old tiled stove added to the festive atmosphere. Only the snow was missing; that would have been the perfect finishing touch.
He'll definitely feel at home here. A real journey back in time 👍 with all the modern comforts.
You have to appreciate this kind of thing. But it's cozy and exudes a certain charm. Especially now in the cold season, the tiled stove in the living room brought a pleasant warmth. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. All in all, a successful stay.
Everything was perfect. Very unique accommodation.
Gladly again
We really enjoyed our stay; everything you could possibly need for a day was there – and in plenty of it – even the knives were sharp. You could say it's not "standard modern" – but rather
"old and cozy." If you want to experience a different century, this is the place for you. Everything was great; we have absolutely nothing to complain about.
We (6 adults, 6 children & 1 infant) were extremely satisfied with the accommodation. Nothing was lacking.
The house offers plenty of inspiration for those renovating or building clay houses. A dream all around.
Contact with the owners was consistently friendly. We felt very well taken care of.
All the best!
A wonderful house. It charmingly transports you back in time without sacrificing any modern comforts. We've never stayed in such a superbly equipped holiday home, and we all felt completely at ease from the very first moment.
A house perfectly suited for a family holiday.
Highly recommended
A dream house, even in February – even without snow. You get a glimpse of how people lived centuries ago, without sacrificing modern comforts. We'll come back in the autumn to enjoy the garden as well.
Everything was as expected; we received a very warm welcome.
The landlord was very helpful and friendly.
We enjoyed our stay very much.
From the first moment to the end, communication, service, and our stay were top-notch. We felt wonderfully comfortable at the Vogtshof, which is very sustainably and tastefully furnished. We would love to come back again.
Our family reunion was perfectly set in this dreamlike house, lovingly furnished down to the last detail. The amenities were absolutely complete; nothing was missing. The cozy atmosphere throughout the house made us forget the bad weather outside. It was simply wonderful!
Family celebration of 85 years
Beautiful old, charming house. It lacked nothing.
We would definitely book the house again for our large family. Many thanks to Mr. Schrempp for the excellent service.

We spent a wonderful week at the Vogtshof. The owner is a super nice and friendly man. Beautiful area, delicious food – a perfect week.
It feels like stepping back in time. Despite the historical ambiance, the house offers modern amenities. Everything you need is within easy reach and accessible by bike. Hiking trails start right from the doorstep. A great base for exploring the area.
We found the Vogtshof to be fantastic for our three-generation family. It's even more beautiful and charming in person than it appeared online. Contact with Mr. Schrempp was also very pleasant. We highly recommend the Vogtshof.
We spent a few romantic days together, with our dog, in this fairytale-like accommodation.
It's old and has its quirks, which is part of its charm. The kitchen is more than well-equipped; you can find absolutely everything you could possibly need.

It feels like stepping back in time. Very old furniture and floorboards warped by centuries of use, in completely crooked hallways and door frames, create a certain charm and visually transport you hundreds of years back
The Vogtshof is a highly recommended destination for a family holiday. The lovingly and harmoniously furnished, over 400-year-old farmhouse has an unparalleled ambiance, and its cozy atmosphere immediately captivates you
We, a group of eight people with mental illness and disabilities, had the opportunity to visit Vogstshof. The owner gave us a very warm welcome and provided us with excellent tips for activities. The historic house is perfectly equipped
The whole family was thrilled...a thoroughly successful weekend in a dream holiday home...everything was perfect!
And we really enjoyed it. Quaint, authentic house. The low ceilings and doorways were sometimes a bit of a challenge for the taller members of our group 🙂 but the beds were very comfortable with great mattresses and bedding. The kitchen is
I chose this accommodation for a special occasion. Twelve people from four generations and I spent a few wonderful days at this beautiful Vogtshof. The facilities matched the description. Highly recommended!
Our expectations were fully met. Our holiday home exuded a rustic charm. Fields and meadows invite you to take long walks, yet the nearest small town is not far away. We can highly recommend the Vogtshof
Great house with lots of character
A stay unlike any standard hotel experience. A dreamlike step back in time with modern luxury. In top condition and lovingly restored.
Arrival and key handover went perfectly! We received a friendly welcome and everything we needed to know was explained. Communication was also seamless. The house is very well suited for group trips! The fenced garden was great for children and dogs
The 400-year-old house has a wonderful style. Unfortunately, this wasn't maintained in all the rooms, but the living room and kitchen had a great atmosphere. We had a fantastic time!
...highly recommended. 🙂
We received a very friendly welcome. 🙂
The house is very clean and has everything you need.
We had a toddler (2 years old) with us, and she especially enjoyed the toys. There were also children's plates and...
