    It rises further above the city and is a real attraction thanks to its curved top alone: ​​the thyssenkrupp test tower in Rottweil . What is under scrutiny here are elevators. Innovative elevators for skyscrapers are tested and certified in 12 shafts. The structure reaches a height of almost 250 meters. If you want to go high and enjoy a breathtaking view, you should definitely visit the viewing platform that opened in October 2017. From a height of 232 meters, a completely different view of the city of Rottweil and the region opens up.

    The Roman and Clock Streets

    Have you always wanted to follow in the sandal footsteps of the ancient Romans? Then you should definitely pay a visit to the Roman road Neckar-Alb-Aare, in the center of which is Rottweil.

    A varied landscape and established culture await you. Learn about the history of Roman settlement along the former imperial highways.

    You can experience the former province of Upper Germany on the Roman Road, which is around 400 kilometers long.

    Theater - The Room Theater in Rottweil

    Theater fans will also get their money's worth on a holiday in a holiday home in Rottweil. The Zimmertheater is located in the middle of Rottweil's picturesque old town. His theater hall is around 300 square meters in size and can accommodate 100 to 150 people. In summer you can experience the theater in the open air. Regardless of whether you prefer the classics or would like to admire a premiere - the Zimmertheater's program has it all, even the “Golden Rottweiler”. The Zimmertheater has been offering this cabaret award since 2003. All nominees show excerpts of their skills during a long night of cabaret, and the award winners present their programs in full length the following evening.

In the Neckarburg nature reserve you will find peace, quiet and pure nature. Anyone who wants to learn something new will have fun on the nature trail.

    Excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity of Rottweil

    There are some exciting excursion destinations around Rottweil that are worth a short drive from the holiday apartment. Less than 25 kilometers away, the Hardt amusement park offers fun and games for the whole family.

    Or do you want to feel like a giant for once? Then you will like the miniature village Waldschenke. There are 20 historic half-timbered houses, recreated on a scale of 1:10. They are bypassed by the Swabian Railway. The Waldschenke also has, among other things, a petting zoo, a cable car and a horse riding track.

    Horse lovers will get their money's worth at the Trippel-Trappel pony farm. There are many more animals to admire and pet at the Kappel petting zoo or at the Weißer nursery in Schabenhausen. If you would like to get closer to the wilder four-legged friends, you can do so in the wild boar enclosure in Dietingen. What makes this excursion destination even more interesting is its hiking and adventure trails.

    A slightly different excursion destination is certainly the Dormettingen slate experience. There is, among other things, a fossil-knocking area and an adventure and mining playground. And once you've fallen in love with the stones, you won't regret a visit to the World of Crystals, a mineral and fossil museum.
