The Clara Pit mineral dump in Kirnbach offers you the unique opportunity to search for rare minerals yourself. The daily new deliveries of rock from the Clara mine make this possible. With around 400 different minerals, it is one of the most mineral-rich mines in the world and really worth a visit. Both professional mineral collectors and families with children come. It is an exciting change, especially for families, even on vacation. The children have fun knocking stones and then panning for gold.
Entrance fees €6 for children. 12€ for adults. The price includes 5 or 8 kg of stones to take home. Special prices for families. Open April to October 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The mineral dump is located 300 meters before the Kirnbach district, shortly after the entrance to the “Sachtleben” company.
