The Dorotheenhütte is the last active mouth-blown glassworks in the Black Forest. Here you can watch the glassmakers and glass cutters at work. The site also includes a museum showcasing 2,000 years of glassmaking history, a large glass shop with decorative items and gift ideas for the table, and a Christmas village decorated year-round. Visitors can even try their hand at glassblowing, with the glassmakers on hand to assist.
In addition, there is a restaurant/café – the Hüttenklause – which belongs to the association of nature park hosts. The hut is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with last entry at 4:30 p.m.
