Wolfach in the Kinzig Valley is easily accessible by car and train. The train station is right next to the town center. From Alpirsbach, you can reach Wolfach by car in 20 minutes, and from Loßburg it takes 10 minutes longer. Enzklösterle and Seewald are another 25 minutes away. Clara mine mineral dump in Kirnbach

The Clara Mine mineral dump in Kirnbach offers you the unique opportunity to search for rare minerals yourself. Daily deliveries of rock from the Clara Mine make this possible. With approximately 400 different minerals, it is one of the richest mineral deposits in the world and truly worth a visit. Both professional mineral collectors and families with children come here. It's a particularly exciting activity for families, even during a vacation. Children enjoy chipping away at the rocks, and afterwards, they can try their hand at gold panning.

Admission prices: €6 for children, €12 for adults. The price includes 5 or 8 kg of stones to take home. Special rates for families. Open April to October, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The mineral dump is located 300 meters before the Kirnbach district, shortly after the entrance to the "Sachtleben" company.

Dorotheenhütte glassworks in Wolfach

The Dorotheenhütte is the last active mouth-blown glassworks in the Black Forest. Here you can watch the glassmakers and glass cutters at work. The site also includes a museum showcasing 2,000 years of glassmaking history, a large glass shop with decorative items and gift ideas for the table, and a Christmas village decorated year-round. Visitors can even try their hand at glassblowing, with the glassmakers on hand to assist.

In addition, there is a restaurant/café – the Hüttenklause – which belongs to the association of nature park hosts. The hut is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with last entry at 4:30 p.m.

Opening hours: Glassland, Christmas Village and shops are open until 5:30 pm, the restaurant until 6:00 pm. Daily 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Last admission to the production area is at 4:30 pm.

Prices: Adults (without guided tour) €5.00, pupils, students, trainees, severely disabled persons, pensioners (without guided tour) €4.00, children (6-12 years, without guided tour) €3.00, groups (from 15 people, without guided tour) reduced price, family ticket (parents with up to 4 minor children, without guided tour) €12.00.
