The 3 kilometer long circular route is very easy to manage with children. It's a bit uphill at the beginning. On the way, always follow the signs with the bear paw. You are in an untouched forest and can enjoy the smell of moss and mushrooms. The display boards provide information about the enchanted forest. Here you can enjoy an untouched natural experience. This route is not suitable for strollers.
The parking lot is located directly at Bärlochkar in the Rohnbachtal, 2 kilometers from Enzklösterle. We recommend sturdy shoes.
There is an idyllic rest area with a children's playground at Süßbächle 7. Follow the signs for Schwarzwaldhaus Zwink for 500 meters. Here you can get drinks, ice cream, and more. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The 4 kilometer circular route begins at the upper forest car park, hidden on the left side of the stream just behind the bridge in Rohnbachstrasse. The Rohnbachtal is a side valley and 2 kilometers away from Enzklösterle. It lies on the border between Baden and Württemberg. The path is marked with a yellow diamond. On an idyllic narrow forest path you go 1.7 kilometers up the valley on the left side of the stream to the barbecue area with a Wiedeofen, which invites you to have a picnic. Then we continue to the old forester's lodge in the Rombachhof. You can reach this from the bridge. There was a tragic murder there in 1945. Now leave the yellow diamond and walk back down the valley on the right side of the stream into the Rohnbachtal to the parking lot. This tour is not suitable for strollers. Here you can also take a break at the Schwarzwaldhaus Zwink.
The hike begins directly at Hirschtal. Pay attention to the signs for the deer enclosure/crippena. You can park there in the large parking lot.
You can observe the red deer enclosure over a length of 2 kilometers. This is an experience for your children. You are also allowed to feed the deer with food. After the tour, Krippena 2000 to a nativity scene exhibition. A fantastic exhibition of hand-carved wooden figures and nativity scenes awaits you.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Admission: adults €3.50 with guest card €3.00. Children accompanied by an adult go free. In the coffee shop at Hirschpark you can get delicious Black Forest cake.
Discover the blueberries of the forest in Enzklösterle over a length of 13 kilometers. The starting point for the hike is the tourist information office on Friedensstrasse, where you can also park. Walk through the beautiful spa gardens and cross the street into Lappach past the Heidelbeerhaus (you can buy blueberry specialties at the Heidelbeerhaus).
You walk the climb towards Schöllkopf, passing many blueberry bushes and mossy rocks. The highest point is reached at an altitude of over 800 meters.
It then continues slightly downhill with viewpoints over the Lappachtal. Via the Große Enz and Russhütte we then continue along the Hirschkopf to the strawberry plate. At the strawberry plate you have a beautiful view over the valley. And you can relax on the wooden swing. After 4 hours we head back down the valley via the deer enclosure to the tourist information center.
You can travel for free on bus line 7780 with the Konus card. Kaltenbronn is 7 kilometers from Enzklösterle. You walk from car park F at an altitude of 1000 meters along the nature discovery trail with its raised moors, barren forests and the beautiful Wildseemoor. Let your children go on the children's adventure trail. Lots of fun and excitement is guaranteed there. Pay attention to the capercaillie symbol that accompanies you on the way. Since this is not a circular route, you can either go back the way or hike 3 kilometers further to the Grünhütte forest restaurant. It's worth eating the delicious blueberry pancakes at a leisurely stop here. Then hike another 3 kilometers to the summer mountain railway. From there you take the mountain railway to Bad Wildbad and the bus back to Kaltenbronn.
