Overall very nice, with a small playground and wood-burning stoves.
The water draining from the bathroom and toilets on the upper floor is clearly audible in the bedrooms on the floors below.

For a relaxing and nature-filled getaway with children and dogs, this place comes highly recommended. Walks can be started right from the front door, mushroom hunters will be in their element, and there's a small playground for children. The fenced garden and the thoughtful welcome package for dogs are very thoughtful touches, and it's easy to happily pay extra for your four-legged friend. For groups of five or more, the pots and pans could be a bit larger, and the sauna access is located below the house – this should be mentioned. Otherwise, it's a wonderful accommodation and I highly recommend it!

Great holiday in a beautiful house

Mr. Beck is very friendly and accommodating.
The house is in a fantastic location – a dream for small children.
The highlight is the large combined kitchen and dining room; that's where everything happens. It was great.

We were a group of four families with six babies and toddlers. Our stay was very relaxing, the atmosphere very cozy, and the apartment's amenities left little to be desired. The only slight challenge was the arrangement of the beds in the different rooms. There were too few double beds overall. Unfortunately, the single beds couldn't be pushed together to make a wider bed, as they were screwed to the ceiling. The apartment's location just outside Freudenstadt is excellent, as it's usually very quiet. However, there might be an event or celebration taking place in the neighboring building. Fortunately, the thick walls of the Bärenschlössle (Little Bear Castle) block out much noise. You can set off on walks or explore the Black Forest by bicycle directly from the accommodation. And currently, the Tal-X Garden Show is even taking place right on the doorstep (https://www.tal-x.de/), although it only runs until October 12, 2025. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and can wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation.

We lacked for nothing.
