A wonderful country house where tradition and modernity are combined. We stayed in Seewald for four days with 11 adults and 3 children. The house offers plenty of space and comfort, and is situated in a quiet, beautiful location. We highly recommend it.

Great holiday home in an idyllic location, highly recommended for families with children as well as for friends.

A beautifully situated house, right in the middle of the forest, far from the nearest town. Very quiet, pitch black at night – something city dwellers have completely forgotten – and secluded. The house is well-equipped; electricity, heating, and hot water worked perfectly. The TV (via satellite) didn't receive a signal during the storm, but that didn't bother us, as we didn't need it.
The Feldberg ski resort is reachable within 45 minutes, and there are numerous lovely hiking trails around the house. The Black Forest also offers many other worthwhile destinations, even at this time of year.
We will definitely come back if we're allowed.

The house is very well equipped with the essentials. There's enough crockery and pots for 10 people, but no casserole dish, garlic press, or anything as fancy as a salad spinner. However, there is a deep fryer and plenty of empty cupboards. There's also more than enough storage space in the other rooms.
The mattresses are very good for those who prefer a firmer surface, although the beds can sometimes squeak quite loudly.
There are no shops nearby. Even by bike, it's only manageable for very athletic people. A quick trip to get bread rolls in the morning requires a car and at least half an hour. On the other hand, it's wonderfully quiet. Not even mobile phones ring. There's simply no reception. (Wi-Fi works, though.)
A sauna and hot tub are available, but the hot tub is rather inconveniently located right next to the road and very close to the neighbor's house. Apparently, you also have to book the wood for it in advance. We couldn't find any wood to heat the water.
Despite a few minor drawbacks, we really enjoyed our stay. Not least because you can go on wonderful, endlessly long hikes in the forest there.

We were a group of 11 young adults staying at the "Kuckucksnest" in Triberg. Before our arrival, all our questions were answered very kindly and thoroughly, and we felt completely taken care of. The apartment is very charming and artistically furnished; we had the impression that a great deal of effort is put into ensuring guests feel comfortable.
The wellness area is very large and equipped with everything you need to relax.
We wholeheartedly recommend this apartment and are planning another holiday here in the summer, as the outdoor area is also very inviting.
Thank you for everything!
