A beautifully furnished holiday apartment, decorated with style and taste. I felt completely at ease. I was delighted by the Christmas decorations in the house. The hosts were very kind, discreet, and helpful.

Overall, it's a beautiful house in a wonderful setting; however, some cosmetic repairs and improvements are needed in various areas.
Based on our positive experience with the "Luxusschalet Salzenweiler," we chose another Black Forest holiday home, but we wouldn't book the "Holzhaus Oberbrändi" again.

Positive:
- very beautiful location with great hiking and excursion opportunities
- good infrastructure, shopping facilities within easy reach
- good room layout in the house; we were only two people so we exclusively used the first floor, but there is space for significantly more people
- bathrooms and refrigerator very clean

Negative:
- The instructions for using the sauna were misleading; you have to go into the basement room to access the fuse box. Furthermore, the sauna was quite dirty upon our arrival, and there was mold on the interior wall. Using the sauna after dark is also not recommended, as there is no lighting and the access is poorly designed. The garden and sauna are not screened from view.
- The whirlpool was unusable because there was no remote control.
- The kitchen floor was very dirty; it seems to have been forgotten during cleaning.
- The access to the front door, combined with the broken exterior lighting, is not ideal in the dark, as you can't see anything and it's easy to slip.
- The upper floor (gallery), which we didn't use, smelled terribly of food; even the fabric sofa on the main floor, including the cushions, reeked of food odors.
- The house is generally quite old and has several minor defects (the window in the toilet is broken, part of the exterior lighting is broken, the toilet seat in the main bathroom is worn out, and the sofa is saggy).

We
spent a wonderful week in Apartment 4 with four adults and an eight-month-old infant. The furnishings are very high-end, and
a crib and highchair were provided immediately. Ms. Stahl was
always available and made our stay even more enjoyable. I would highly
recommend staying in these wonderful apartments.

A very nice apartment. Even better in person than in the pictures. The location is
excellent for various activities in the Black Forest. The apartment's furnishings are
elegant yet cozy. You feel right at home. A highlight is the
mountain view, which you can enjoy directly from the bedroom upon waking.

The cottage is very luxurious, comfortable and clean. The location is excellent:
very beautiful and quiet. Thomas and Annette are very friendly and helpful hosts.
We would love to rent this cottage again.
