We were so lucky! Spring-like weather in January. We spent a lot of time sitting in front of the house, enjoying the view of the valley. In total, we saw three hikers, three deer, and a fox. Heavenly peace and quiet from 4 p.m. onwards. Before that, we listened to the loggers' chainsaws

Overall, we really enjoyed it!
The mattresses in the upper sleeping area were quite firm.
The bathroom downstairs was difficult to heat, which is a problem because that's where the bathtub is located.
Otherwise, we were very satisfied; it's simply something different.

The Oberbrändi log cabin is a beautiful holiday home where we spent a wonderful weekend with friends. The furnishings are cozy and create a great atmosphere. The open-plan living and dining area is especially inviting for sitting together, playing games, and chatting, and is particularly well-suited for larger groups. Check-in is incredibly easy via a lock on the terrace. The sauna is the absolute highlight of the house.

However, there were also some downsides I'd like to mention:
- the mattresses were quite remote and the pillows were very uncomfortable - some of us had back pain after waking up
- there were some cobwebs in the corners of the rooms - they could definitely be cleaned more thoroughly
- there are various hidden costs that aren't immediately apparent when booking: for example, the fireplace can only be used for a fee, bed linen and towels aren't included, and every cigarette butt in the garden costs an extra €7 to clean (unfortunately, we already found some upon arrival that weren't ours - so if you're going to do this, please be consistent or don't include such things in your house rules!)
- we were promised a later checkout at 11 am, which was subsequently cancelled
- overall, the price is quite steep... we would come back because of the house itself, but the price was simply too high for a self-catering cabin!

The holiday home is simply a dream, it was very beautiful.
We will definitely come back.

We spent our weekend in Dornstetten. Overall, it was the perfect house for 12 people. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you need for cooking. There were also great toys for the children. The house is very spacious, with a fantastic layout, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are really lovely. I would highly recommend this vacation home. We had a wonderful time there celebrating a 30th birthday. The living room is super cozy, and there's a good piano for musical accompaniment.
We were there in winter, and I'm sure it will be even nicer in summer, especially with the garden. Even though the vacation home is next to industrial buildings, the beautiful greenery means you don't notice them at all. One suggestion for improvement: When the first guests arrived, the apartment was very cold. To warm it up, you have to use the wood-burning stove in addition to the radiators. Perhaps in the future, the first basket of fresh bread could be included. But otherwise, it was a fantastic vacation rental. We would definitely come back!

The house had everything as promised in the description.
