The Dornstetten holiday home, owned by the Stahl family, is truly a dreamlike and beautiful place to stay.

A wonderful, relaxing holiday began the moment we stepped into the holiday home. The house is beautifully furnished with attention to detail, and the owner gave us a very warm welcome. The hot tub is a special and very relaxing experience, followed by the sauna. We wanted for nothing. We felt very comfortable and would highly recommend it.

We felt very comfortable in the holiday apartment; it was very well equipped, and nothing was missing. The balcony offered a wonderful view, and a bakery, café, and restaurant with delicious food were in the immediate vicinity. A supermarket and pharmacy were a good 5-minute walk away, as was the bus stop for the bus to Freudenstadt.

My siblings, their partners, and a dog have now booked this architecturally interesting holiday home for the third time, and as always, we felt very comfortable. The house's extensive amenities, and especially the kitchen, leave nothing to be desired. We also made good use of the large panoramic sauna. Visiting the garden show in Freudenstadt, which had just opened, was an unforgettable experience. Even in bad weather, the accommodation offers many opportunities to spend relaxing days with close family. Ms. Stahl was very helpful and immediately resolved any minor issues.

We had a fantastic time in this beautiful and very spacious holiday home. With six roomy bedrooms, it offers more than enough space for larger groups or families. The amenities leave nothing to be desired – everything you could possibly need is there!
We were particularly impressed by the hot tub – perfect for relaxing after an eventful day. The sun shines on the lovely terrace, making it a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors.
Another highlight: The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. They make you feel right at home and are always available for questions or requests.
All in all, a highly recommended holiday home – we would love to come back!

A perfect holiday from the very beginning. We, a group of nine friends, felt very comfortable in the well-equipped house and were well looked after by Mrs. Stahl.

The old hospital in Dornstetten has been very professionally and lovingly restored and decorated. Each apartment has a balcony, and the view of the Black Forest is fantastic. We were a large group of 19 people and spent most of our time in the spacious bakery, which offered plenty of room for everyone without feeling cramped . The surrounding area is beautiful for hiking. The owners were very friendly. We will definitely come back.

The large communal kitchen was ideal for eating together and spending time with each other. The entire house was very clean and in excellent condition. A very beautiful, fantastically equipped house. We especially enjoyed the large, open-plan space that flowed from the kitchen through the dining area to the living room. The kitchen is high-quality and fully equipped. Our group of 12 was able to cook, play games, and enjoy the wood-burning stove and sauna. We particularly enjoyed the Lothar Steig hiking trail as a day trip destination.

We stayed here as a large family and thoroughly enjoyed the facilities, amenities, and equipment, especially for the children. We would love to come back!

We were four couples from one family, with two small children. We had plenty of space and felt completely at ease. In the evenings, we heated up the hot tub, which was lovely even when it rained.

Four generations, 17 people ranging in age from 6 months to 85 years, enjoyed a beautiful setting. The separate apartments in a historic house, lovingly restored and furnished down to the last detail, were perfect for us.
The owner is very friendly and accommodating, and her passion is evident throughout the property.

We had a wonderful week's holiday in Dornstetten with our extended family.
There were young children and teenagers with us – and for the teens, having their own room was a big plus, which worked out perfectly.
The terrace is fantastic; it's perfect for barbecues and celebrating into the balmy summer evenings.
The surrounding area has a lot to offer, although you almost always need a car. The house is located in a mixed-use commercial area, but this wasn't a problem.

Very friendly hosts. Plenty of quiet spots for relaxing breaks. We all slept very well on the rather firm mattresses. The attention to detail is evident. Without the wood-burning stove, it would have been too cold for us in the evenings.

A large kitchen so everyone could cook together, a slightly smaller refrigerator, but a separate freezer in the pantry, and plenty of storage space.
We enjoyed using the sauna despite the mild winter; the whirlpool would have been a bit of work to fill and heat.
Space for four cars was great for us, the proximity to the train station was perfect for some of us arriving, and there are plenty of shopping options nearby.

We rented the Alte Spital with our extended family over Pentecost weekend in 2023. Everyone was extremely impressed and amazed by this stylish house. The common room, in particular, was the perfect meeting place for our group. We made good use of the pizza oven, as well as the jukebox (which we used regularly). The rooms and apartments are all furnished to a high standard, with great attention paid to detail (traditional carpentry!). A magnificent panoramic view of the Black Forest, visible from various points in the house, completes the positive overall impression. We immediately booked again for 2023!

The connection to the public transport network was excellent, allowing us to leave our car parked for the entire holiday .

There were 11 of us, and we were completely satisfied.

We spent a long weekend with our two dogs at the Dornstetten holiday home and were absolutely delighted. The house is spacious without feeling cramped. A particular highlight is the sauna with its view of the garden. We would definitely come back! The only downside was that we couldn't check in until 4 pm; otherwise, we highly recommend this holiday home.

We spent a wonderful week as a group of friends in the architect-designed house in Dornstetten. The house is absolutely beautiful. Centrally located yet quiet. It's perfectly furnished; nothing is missing, and you can truly relax and unwind! The rooms are all different and lovingly and thoughtfully decorated. We felt completely at home and would have loved to stay longer ; ) The hammock on the first floor is one of the highlights, as is the fantastic sauna, which we, of course, also used.
From Freudenstadt, we went on some truly beautiful hikes, and on our farewell on November 27th, we were treated to another winter wonderland with snow – simply breathtaking!! We would love to come back.
The personal contact with the very warm and welcoming landlady, Mrs. Stahl, was also very pleasant; she was always available to answer our questions and offer helpful advice.

We felt very comfortable in the holiday apartment. The Wi-Fi wasn't great, though; even after restarting the repeater, we kept getting kicked off the network. But you can do without that on holiday. Otherwise, it was a really great location, we'd gladly come back.

We, a group of three generations, five families, and small children, spent a week in the Stahl family's beautiful house and were very well accommodated. We have absolutely no complaints; we simply enjoyed the beautiful house, the garden, the superbly equipped kitchen, and everything else. Highlights included the hot tub and the sauna: fun for everyone. We can wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend this house!

We travelled as a couple with our dog. The apartment was beautifully prepared and spotlessly clean. There was even a small balcony where we could enjoy the last rays of late summer sunshine. The apartment had everything we needed. Overall, the house made a great impression.
The only downside was the mattress; it was a bit hard.
Nevertheless, we'll definitely be back! 🙂

We were more than happy with our accommodation. The booking process and organization were flawless, and we could easily make calls. Thanks to the thoughtfully compiled information leaflet, we were able to choose our destinations in advance. The accommodation is exactly as pictured. The garden with its hot tub was fantastic. We stayed in the holiday home with three families. The house is very large, well-equipped, and very clean. We spent a lot of time on the covered terrace. The location is a good base for excursions.
There are only a few points of criticism:
- The house is located on the outskirts of Dornstetten, in the middle of an industrial/commercial area and on a busy road. Therefore, it was quite noisy early in the morning.
- The women (and also the children) found the mattresses much too hard.
- The garbage bins are too small. Perhaps it would be a good idea to provide a larger one, as the existing one was sufficient even with recycling.
Nevertheless, I can highly recommend the house, especially to larger groups.

We spent our weekend in Dornstetten. Overall, it was the perfect house for 12 people. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you need for cooking. There were also great toys for the children. The house is very spacious, with a fantastic layout, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are truly lovely . I would highly recommend this vacation home. We had a wonderful time there celebrating a 30th birthday. The living room is super cozy, and there's a good piano for musical accompaniment.
We were there in winter, and I'm sure it will be even nicer in summer, especially with the garden. Even though the vacation home is next to industrial buildings, the lovely greenery means you don't notice them at all. One suggestion for improvement: When the first guests arrived, the apartment was very cold. To warm it up, you have to use the wood-burning stove in addition to the radiators. Perhaps in the future, the first basket of fresh bread could be included. But otherwise, it was a fantastic vacation rental. We would definitely come back!

Spacious accommodation, quite well-equipped, with a wonderful fireplace. Ideal for large families or groups of friends, parties, relaxation, and socializing. It even has a hot tub. Our only complaint was that the €30 usage fee for the hot tub and the €7 per basket of firewood were not mentioned anywhere before booking.

We stayed in this house for our annual family retreat with 10 adults. The ground floor is one large room with a sofa area, dining area, and kitchen. This prevents any feeling of being cramped. Finally, a kitchen that actually has a pot!
