Wolftal – Oberwolfach and Wolf and Bear Park in Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach

    Directions

From Alpirsbach and Loßburg it is 30 minutes by car to Wolftal, alternatively by bus. However, we recommend the car. From Enzklösterle and Seewald it takes 45 minutes to drive to Rippoldsauer Straße 36/1, 77776 Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach.

    Wolf and bear park

The alternative wolf and bear park

The Wolftal is a side valley of the Kinzigtal with a beautiful Black Forest landscape and nice excursion destinations. The favorite destination for our children is the Wolf and Bear Park. If you fancy a nice trip into nature and want to visit a special animal enclosure, then a trip to the beautiful Wolftal is just right for families with children.

It is a very special experience that awaits you here. The park offers nine bears a beautiful, natural new home. It is the only one of its kind in all of southern Germany. In addition to the bears, the park also has three wolves named Anita, Adi and Ado. The park is in an idyllic location on the Fegersbächle, between the two districts of Bad Rippoldsau and Schapbach. In magnificent nature you can make exciting animal observations and learn many new things about bears and wolves at educational information stands and boards. The children will certainly be fascinated by the animals and tell each other stories about them.

    Forest Culture House in Bad-Rippoldsau-Schapbach

The Forest Culture House in Bad-Rippoldsau-Schapbach, 5 kilometers from the bear park, answers questions about the age of the old forest management methods of the raftsmen and riparians: How old does a tree get? What is a raft? A wooden giant? You can find these and many more answers in guided tours and excursions. A great program for children and adults.

    Opening hours: Daily 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., closed November 1st to March 31st. Forest Culture House, Fürstenbergstraße 59, 77776 Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach, telephone 07440/332.
