It is the landmark of Schenkenzell. Along with Hohengeroldseck, it is one of the oldest castles in the Kinzig Valley. You can hike up to the castle and then eat a pizza in the delicious pizzeria.

The Luitgard Festival takes place in Wittichen every year on the second Sunday in October. The monastery museum lives up to its name in two respects. On the one hand, it is located in the monastery area of the charming Witticher Valley, 5 km from Schenkenzell, and on the other hand, its exhibits come almost exclusively from the monastery itself, which used to be much larger.

What is a zipline ? A zipline is also called a flyingfox and is a stretched rope across the valley, which is ridden with a harness and helmet and a special pulley. This is also available in high ropes courses, but not at this height and length like here. The longest single track is an incredible 570 meters long and over 80 meters high - this is unique in Germany! In total, you ride 1.6 km of steel cable on seven tracks at up to 60 km/h! The experience is incredible! And the best thing is: It's very easy, almost everyone can do it! The group is accompanied by a guide who explains everything on the circuit.
