Skiing in the Black Forest & cross-country skiing in your holiday home - snowy ski areas in the southern and northern Black Forest

Where can I skiing in the Black Forest ? Where to go on a ski holiday? Where can I find the best ski areas in the northern and southern Black Forest? Where are the best slopes? How much does the ski pass cost? Maybe you are asking yourself these questions when planning your vacation?

    Skiing on the Feldberg

In our Feldberg holiday home in the Neuglashütten district, you are in the middle of one of the most beautiful ski areas in Germany. At a height of 1,493 meters, it is the largest mountain of all German low mountain ranges - and is therefore ideal for discovering on skis.

The Feldberg doesn't just have one or two ski slopes - it's a whole winter sports center, a little paradise wrapped in wonderful white snow. 16 runs of varying difficulty - from the standard or family run to the demanding FIS World Cup route - stretch across the mountain, as well as nine lifts and five chairlifts in the "Feldberg lift network " . The slopes are at an altitude of 950 to 1,400 meters and extend for a total of 25 kilometers. The longest piste is the Rathausabfahrt at around three kilometers.

Would you rather get on a snowboard? Then you should definitely pay a visit to the “badenova snow park”. The scene park is then exactly the right address for you. Further information and opening times can be found at Snowpark Feldberg . Of course, courses and activities such as snowshoe hikes, a snowcat tour, winter barbecues, tobogganing, winter hiking and cross-country skiing are also offered.

If you like something a little more unusual, you can try the trendy sport of snow kiting, a variation of kite sailing. The principle is actually quite simple: On skis or snowboards, you hold on to a towing kite that pulls you quickly across the snow if there is enough wind. The ski and snowboard schools also enable new skiers to explore and enjoy the slopes.

If you want to get an impression of this for yourself before you start your journey, you can let your eyes wander over the breathtaking landscape Feldberg lift network

By the way: Skiing on the Feldberg has a long tradition. In 1891 – over 125 years ago – a Dr. Pilet is the first to descend the Feldberg slope. Just nine years later, the first German ski championships took place here. This mountain offers something for every taste - and not just thanks to the numerous restaurants. Newbies and experienced skiers, skiers and snowboarders alike will get their money's worth here.
