Forest- and Adventure path Bächlewald
The walk is open all year and has a length of 5.3 km. 2-3 hours are required depending on how much the children dawdle. For stroller the route is not suitable. Parking is best at Waldsee parking.
From here, the forest trail is well marked. From the parking lot it is 1,3 km through the woods along the forest trail. You keep coming back past instructive panels with explanations of individual trees and plants.
The trail connects to the trail. It's always slightly uphill, but is quite feasible. Even our youngest (3.5 years) had no problems with the track. Of course it is for the kids most interesting when finally the actual path begins, where they can try things on numerous stations and can climb.
There are "climbers" from tree trunks, balance beam and long jump box, where you can see at the same time, what animals jump as far as a tree phone and a seesaw. After the rocker and the "balance beam" You can take back the road to Waldsee downhill and come back out near the parking lot.
If you still have a very hearty appetite, the restaurant Waldsee terrace is recommended. The cake is very good. Please do not arrive too late, as is in fine weather the cake unfortunately is sold out. The hot dishes are recommended. The children can still play on the accompanying playground, watching the ducks and fish on the lake, and if you still have time and inclination, you can try out the mini golf course, which is adjacent to the restaurant.
Hiking to the observation tower Urenkopf
If you are still able to have a nice walk you can walk up to the lookout tower Urenkopf. He is the highest mountain of Haslach and it lies at around 554 meters above sea level.
The 40 m high tower built in the late 2014 and with 183 stairs it offers a magnificent panoramic view.
From the parking area at Waldsee, it is not far to the concentration camp memorial and there you can park or you walk from Waldsee parking across the forest up and within 45 minutes the observation tower is reached.
