You can park in the parking garage at the train station and walk 10 minutes to the Sommerbergbahn cable car station. Take the cable car to the mountain station and follow the signs to Grünhütte. From there, hike 5 km to the Grünhütte forest inn. Delicious blueberry pancakes! Afterwards, continue for another 1.5 km across high moors, through sparse forests, and along the beautiful Wildsee moor to the Wildsee lake. Return via the same route.

From the Sommerbergbahn mountain station, head towards the treetop walkway ( www.baumwipfelpfad-schwarzwald.de ). The walkway is 1250 meters long, with a gradual ascent, making it a leisurely stroll to the top for panoramic views over the Black Forest treetops. From the 40-meter-high observation tower, you can see as far as the Alps on a clear day. The 55-meter tunnel slide is a hit with all ages. Children aged 6 and up are welcome to use it. The walkway is accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. For refreshments, we recommend the Auerhahn Hotel, located right next to the cable car station.
