With 230 m² of living space and 13 rooms, Manor House 1 offers an exceptional amount of space for families, extended families, and groups. Up to 18 adults and an additional 4 toddlers under 3 years old can vacation here together, with plenty of room to socialize and enough space for privacy.
The centerpiece of the ground floor is the spacious, open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area. The large table seats up to 14 people . Three additional open seating and lounge areas with several sofas and armchairs offer plenty of space for shared evenings, conversations, or relaxing hours.
For restful nights, there are 6 separate bedrooms with a total of 18 regular beds . With 4 bathrooms, 3 with showers and one with a bathtub, as well as 4 toilets, the manor house is comfortably equipped for larger groups. The fully equipped kitchen with a large refrigerator and freezer, induction cooktop, dishwasher, and fully automatic coffee machine makes cooking together with many guests easy.
A particular advantage is the almost secluded location in the Christophstal valley: the Black Forest countryside begins right around the historic estate. The approximately 3,500 m² property features terraces and seating areas with views of the surrounding greenery. The forest and animal enclosure border directly on the estate, yet Freudenstadt is within walking distance.
Dogs are also very welcome here. The forest and walking trails begin practically at the front door, making it ideal for spending time together in the Black Forest. In Manor House 1, your four-legged friends are welcome to roam the entire ground floor; the upper floor with the sleeping areas is dog-free.
Are you planning a wedding, family celebration, or corporate event in addition to your stay ? The estate's own event venue is located directly opposite and can be booked separately. This allows you to combine your accommodation and event in an exceptional setting.

For those seeking a holiday beyond the ordinary, Hofgut Bärenschlössle a truly unique experience. This historic manor house in the Christophstal valley combines spacious living with the charm of an old Black Forest estate and an exceptionally natural setting.
Carefully renovated and furnished with great attention to detail, this house combines historic wooden beams and its original character with spacious, bright living areas and modern comforts. It's a place especially for families, groups of families traveling together, and groups of friends – a place not just for sleeping, but for spending time together.
The entire manor house comprises approximately 450 m² of living space spread over four floors and is divided into two separate holiday accommodations, each with its own entrance . Manor House 1 , which you can book on this page, occupies the two lower floors and offers approximately 230 m² of living space. The second holiday accommodation is located on the upper floors and can be booked separately.
For particularly large families and groups, it is possible to rent both areas, and thus the entire manor house, together. This allows for plenty of time spent together under one roof, with separate living areas and private retreats.

The Bärenschlössle estate is situated in an almost secluded location in the idyllic Christophstal valley and is surrounded by forest, lots of nature and yet only about a 15-minute walk from the Freudenstadt market square.
Especially for families with children, the location is something special: The valley was lovingly developed into a nature and adventure area around the time of the 2025 Garden Show. Just a few minutes' walk away begins TAL X, which stretches along the Forbach stream to Baiersbronn. Play and adventure stations, spacious play areas, large slides in the forest, and many beautiful spots to explore and linger make the journey itself an adventure, even with a stroller.
Right next to the estate, you forests, hiking trails, and the red deer enclosure belonging to the property. Mountain bikers can also start practically on their doorstep: A signposted MTB trail with 3.6 km and 177 meters of elevation gain.
Connoisseurs will also find plenty to enjoy: Freudenstadt and Baiersbronn are known for Black Forest inns, cozy places to stop for refreshments and excellent gourmet cuisine.
And in winter? With good snow conditions, Kniebis, the Black Forest High Road and Mehliskopf quickly reached for winter hikes, cross-country skiing and downhill skiing.
In short: nature and tranquility right on your doorstep, plenty of experiences for children, hiking and biking directly from the estate and Freudenstadt still very close.
