Be our guest in the rustic and comfortable "Forsthaus" in Kniebis in the Höhenstad part of Freudenstadt with cross-country trails and ski slope. The forest house is a cozy, near -forest accommodation. It is ideal for everyone who wants to leave everyday life behind, enjoy calm and love nature.
The house has a total of 5 bedrooms, including 4 bedrooms with a total of eight beds (+ 2 children's beds) and a study with a sofa bed, a modern bathroom and another guest toilet are available as well as a spacious kitchen, living room and dining room.
For many years the house housed the forester from the Kniebis with his family, including the forest office. After restructuring in forest management, the house changed privately. In 1993 our grandparents acquired this house. They were great Black Forest lovers. When the grandchild grew, they were happy to be able to fulfill the dream of the Black Forest house. The grandparents lived in the house until 2006. Since then it has been the family's holiday home. Since everyone lives far away, it is rarely inhabited. Now other people can also look forward to the beautiful old forest house.
It is not only in picturesque landscape, but also harbors picturesque surprises. You will find some paintings in the house. On the one hand by the Swabian Expressionist Gustav Georg Schopf, the father, the grandfather, the great -grandfather or the great -great -grandfather of our family, on the other hand by the Heilbronn artist Ergül Ertem (*1944).
Children are waiting for sandbar, Indian tent, crowded game, shutter ball, merchant shop, Playmobil, Lego, fagus cars, rocking horse, board games and a wall table.

In winter, the trails start a few minutes' walk from the house and the next ski lift is only 800 m away. Depending on the snow conditions, there are various toboggan slopes in close proximity.
The Kniebis region inspires with its mix of rustic Black Forest traditions and breathtaking panoramas. Whether you hike on the well -known long -distance hiking trail with a view of Alsace, visit the Kniebishütte, discover the National Park Center Ruhestein or just want to enjoy the silence of nature - an unforgettable break awaits you here. The "old forest house" promises calm and seclusion, combined with a unique closeness to the treasures of the Black Forest.
