The domicile is fed by its own water source and heated with renewable energy (all rooms with underfloor heating).
In 2019, the historic building was extensively and lovingly renovated. The ensemble of buildings, which also includes a large farm, is a centuries-old living history (built in 1743). The building, which previously served as a private residence, consists of three floors and has 4 bedrooms, two bathrooms and a beautiful wellness area with a sauna.
“Pure cosiness” is what everyone who enters the chalet says and sees the wonderful wooden and stone walls in combination with the tasteful furnishings. Feeling good on all three floors is your program here.
Embedded in the landscape protection area of the community of Simonswald / Wildgutach, the magnificent historic agricultural building ensemble is located at 600m above the meeting point of the Zweribach and the Wildgutach. A highlight of the renovation work is the re-covering of the completely renewed roof with 40,000 wooden shingles!

Numerous hiking trails and challenging mountain bike routes around the historic Schwarzwaldhof lead into untouched nature, where moss-covered stones, lush greenery and a pristine forest invite your soul to unwind. And 1.5 km away, the Zweribach waterfalls plunge into the depths.
Surrounded by one of the oldest protected forests in Germany, you will find steep paths that lead into the jungle at Zweribach.
Here you will find original nature: flower meadows with bees, lizards sunning themselves on the moss-covered stones, the iridescent trout in the streams. You will find forest mushrooms and hike and walk on almost 800 km of very well signposted hiking trails in the well-known Elz and Simonswäldertal, the so-called Two Täler Land. There are unique landscapes here that are crossed by valleys and plateaus and have altitude differences of up to 1000 meters.
